"The shelf is very nice looking but during the assembly some of the screw holes did not line up well leading to a few extra minutes trying to get it together. The matching screw hole covers did not all fit so they needed to be glued. Overall this was a good value, looks great and came together nicely."

"There's a first time for everything and this is it! The screw holes lined up perfectly...the unit was a snap to put together.
I bought it to "camouflage" the front of an in-the-wall A/C, so the middle shelf needed to be "modified". An associate at Home Depot did it for me without charge. Now books and nicknacks hide the A/C but the open shelves allow air to flow through."

"I'm really happy with this bookshelf and will be purchasing another one. I'm the most UNhandy person you'll ever meet and yet I was able to singlehandedly put this shelf together. No tears, no swearing, kicking, screaming...you know the usual stuff when I have to assemble anything. Unfortunately, as everyone else complained about, those pesky top holes for the top shelf. Other than that, it's great. I really do hope they fix that though."

"A few years ago I ordered a mission style corner computer desk in Honey Oak. I was looking for a book shelf to match and put in same room. When Honey Oak book shelf arrived it was a very different color. Can't use it in same room but still like it so I will use it in different room. Guess colors change over the years???"

"I purchased the 5 shelf unit, and unless I did something wrong, the shelving isn't as sturdy as it appears. I assembled it alone, so it took a bit longer, and be careful how you move it while you are assembling it! It looks nice, and does require some shims or something under to level it."

"Seems fairly well-made, too, although we did have to adjust the levelness with a few felt pads. Note that you can't adjust the height of the shelves on this piece. They are fixed. All in all, we are quite pleased."

"I am very pleased with my purchase. It matches very nicely with the existing teak furniture. The unit is sturdy with a simple and functional design. The assembly instructions were moderately easy and can possibly be improved. However, only people without any experience in assembling furniture might feel challenged. One problem are the wooden pegs, which cover the holes for the screws. They don't fit the holes perfectly and I had to use wood glue to affix them into the holes."

"This is my second Mission Design bookcase. We got a 27", five shelf and liked it so much we got this bookcase for the hall. It fits perfectly and the open design keeps it from appearing too bulky.
These are great bookcases for the money. Very sturdy and can really hold the weight. This one was very easy to put together. By the time my friend got around to helping me I was done! Only took about 20 minutes."
