"Very thick and dense pile. So heavy it laid flat right away. Also very soft. At this length, the colors are more wide-striped than gradient like the photo shows, but I knew this because we had purchased a large area rug in green. The brown was pretty close to what was shown in the catalog and website. (The green one turned out to be way more green than the photos. )"

"Although this rug LOOKS great, we regretted buying it within a day. It has to be vacummed constantly because it won't stop shedding. We have red fibers all over our house, and every time we vacuum the rug, it completely fills the canister. This is absolutely ridiculous."

"The colors online appear more dark navy than the rug is in real life. It's basically really bright blue with hints of purple, so if that's what you want then it's good for you, but I was hoping for more of a dark subdued tone."

"I had purchased the small rug (in Rust) for my entry hall a year ago and was very pleased with the color, quality of the rug, and how it has held up so well. When I decided to replace my living room rug, the Royal Rug was my first chance and I am very pleased with the results. The rug color is excellent (was concerned it might vary too much from end to end, but not at all), great quality, and superb value, and overall this is an excellent buy. I especially like the thickness and softness. It is study, yet soft to walk on barefooted comfortably."

"This is a nice, basic carpet. The color of the carpet in person is not as intense as it appears in the photo. Therefore, the gradient variations in dark blue to light blue is more subtle than in the photo, but it looks o.k. as long as you are not depending on a darker variation in color for your room decor. The pile and thickness of the carpet is average. I recently purchased another carpet from a different site for slightly more in price that had a thicker, richer pile that I am using as a comparison."

"I got the "green" rug, hoping that it would be as gray as it looks in the photo. The color on the website matched the color in the printed catalog so I was hopeful. Wrong. The green is very green, like forest green. Also, in the 12x10 size, the color gradient look more like wide stripes. That being said, it's a nice dense rug with short pile, and great price for the size."

"I purchased the Royal Rug in Red and it is just beautiful. The reds are vibrant and will match practically any red you wish to coordinate your decor with. Its soft and was laid out flat upon arrival; without the folds that usually accompany rugs that have been rolled for shipping. I truly LOVE THIS RUG and YOU WILL TOO!!!"

"The color was a bit darker than expected but still, the quality is very nice. The gold is more brown tone. Nice and plush pile under bare feet.
We used them as runners on the stairs with old knotty pine walls and it really sets off the wood. The stairwell has a finished look."
