"These blinds are very flimsy. The veins are so thin that light shines through them and you can actually see shadows behind them. After just 2 weeks, the raising and lowering is jerky and often one side raises up more than the other. The mechanism operated by the wand to open the blinds to let light in functions very poorly. Going from closed to open, it will not hold until the veins are fully open, laying horizontal, flat so to speak. Therefore, if you just want to open them a little bit or anything in between closed and fully open, you're out of luck. Additionally, a couple of times while the window was open just a few inches and a mild wind blew outside, it actually blew the blinds closed, that's how weak the mechanism is! Sadly, other than they look nice and shiny and clean, I have not one good thing to say about these blinds. I only bought these to prep the home for going up for sale so I don't have to live with them. If I had bought them for myself to live with, I'd be fighting to return them and asking for a refund."
