"This big, handsome bookcase is easy to assemble, although it does pay to have two people do the assembling just because of the size. I am very satisfied with this purchase."

"I purchased the bookcase in Honey, and it looks very nice. The quality of the wood is very good.

However, the assembly was unnecessarily difficult. The predrilled holes did not line up on the pieces. Also, the back is poorly designed. There are stickers all over the place in visible spots and it took forever to get the adhesive off."

"This bookcase does exactly what I needed. It holds books! Lots of books, and photo albums and board games. I have the six shelf in oak. It is not a breathtaking piece of furniture but it functions perfectly."

Not Great, but Really Good

"I had no difficulties with assembly, but I didn't have any doors to mount (they're a little tricky). The piece looks good, although some of the elements are a little mis-machined. But the errors are measured in scant millimeters rather than fractions of inches and aren't noticeable except to me. For the money, there isn't a better bookshelf out there."

"I order this product in July. I was easy to put together. Nothing was damaged. It holds more books that I expected and looks great. The only negative aspect is when i clean it with pledge or endust it seems to be a little streaky. I really have to go over it with a dry cloth after."

Ok- but one big flaw!

"When my husband put together this BLACK bookcase, he and I could not believe that you included WHITE plastic shelf holders (I'm not sure what they're called, but they hold the shelves in place.) Obviously, they stand out like a sore thumb and really take away from the looks of the bookcase and I feel make it look very cheap. Was it a mistake? Can you please forward the BLACK shelf holders? Thanks."

"I bought four of these in white for my bedroom. They're pretty easy to assemble, and they look good. The quality is not as good as our dresser and nightstands, but it's far better than the IKEA furniture we have in other rooms. But really, it's just a bookcase, so as long as it looks decent and holds lots of books without falling apart, I'm happy!"

"I needed very narrow bookcases to fit between the window and the walls of my birdroom. The Oxford was one of the few that fit that bill...And I wanted white! They look really neet - I did not want expensive ones in case the birds chew them! A friend assembled them because I am not good at that, and they seemed to be OK to assemble. I am going to order the Oxford Bench to put between them under the window. That will provide a lot of storage and a bit of seating in the room."
