Love this Craftsman furniture!
Date:September 7, 2010
"We bought the tables with one drawer and door. Have had them for over two years and they have withstood my three teenage boys, my husband, and me rummaging around and throwing all sorts of stuff in them! Great for all that paperwork and clutter that you just have no other place for!
Not hard to put together, just a pain... an extra set of hands are helpful to hold it in place while you use the screwdriver. Comes in a flat pack, so it takes a little work and a bit of patience!"

Looks great, good price, but allow assembly time!
Date:April 19, 2010
"This table was just what I was looking for in style, quality, and price; I have to say I'm delighted with it, and rather chuffed that I put successfully put it together myself. I would agree with other reviewers, though, that the assembly can be challenging. The instructions are vague and, even with the fair amount of furniture assembly I've done, I found myself having to disassemble at one point because the instruction drawing didn't match the actuality. Do give yourself ample time (it took me 3 hours, with some interruptions), lay out all the parts before you start, and be patient with yourself. Having a partner would be best, but you can do it on your own. I did a lot of online and in-store hunting before buying this table and think it was good value for the money, and time, expended."

"I like this table very much. Looks great and works well as my nightstand.
My only complaint would be that the drawer does not close easily and requires an extra push. Maybe it is something on the track that needs to wear down a little.

Exactly What I Wanted
Date:March 26, 2010
"Pros:
Appearance and Value -- The end table looks just as I imagined it would based on the information provided on the website. It is sturdy and was relatively easy for me to assemble.
Cons:
Instructions -- If I hadn't previously assembled over a dozen pieces of furniture (most from Home Decorators), I would have had major problems. The instructions are vague, at best, so anyone without prior experience would have a hard time figuring out how to properly assemble the piece.
Hardware -- The counts on hardware were off quite a bit but, fortunately, did not impact the completed unit. I was short one screw but have many extra cam bolts, cams and shelf brackets.
Overall Satisfaction:
I am very happy with the piece and recommend it to anyone with the patience and ability to interpret poorly written instructions.

A welcome furnishing
Date:March 1, 2010
"This table was easy to put together and is an attractive addition to my home. This piece is a fair attempt to mimic the style closely associated with Stickley's Craftsman/mission furniture. However, at this price, one cannot expect such quality. This piece is not hardwood; it is partical board with an very nice oak veneer. I am also very pleased with the finish which is very similar to my actual hardwood Mission "recliner" and ottoman. With reasonable care, I will certainly get my moneys worth of use out of this piece. In fact, I already ordered the matching sofa table from this collection. One criticism, which was also mentioned in other reviews, it would take very little cost and effort to make the back board (both sides!) with the same finish as the rest of the table. Other than that minor detail, my family and I are VERY pleased!"

Pleasantly Surprised
Date:February 10, 2009
"I've bought furniture pieces online before and have always been a little disappointed. However, this time, not at all. Unlike a lot of assembled furniture, the finished product has substantial weight to it. The colour is rich dark oak with a hint of red. Very warm. I like it so much that I'm ordering another. One of the best items I've bought online - sight unseen."

Not impressed
Date:December 27, 2008
"1- the assembly is WAY too involved.
2 - the "medium oak" color is not attractive...WAY too red, doesn't look like real wood with this stain
3 - after 2 hours of assembly time, the item is heavy and feels well made, but the door would not stay closed and the door was not centered to the opening. Looks cheap and poorly constructed.
4- overall, I hate it, wish I had never bought it. Worse still, this was a gift...and the recipient hates it too.

sticky drawers
Date:December 1, 2008
"The dark cherry paneling on the back did not match the golden oak color of the stain. We are replacing it with a piece of oak paneling the will more nearly match the color of the end table. Not all end tables are put against a wall.
My husband believes that the drawers are sticking because of the drawer guides."

Decent for price

"We currently have the shoe bench and filing cabinet in the same craftsman model from home decorators so we were trying to keep the theme going. However, we were disappointed to find that the front of the drawers are done differently on the end table -- it looks somewhat cheap due to lack of paneling along all sides of front. Also be aware that with use of wicker baskets, the wood coloring will slowly come off of the drawer as the basket is pulled in and out."

lay all the pieces out before you assemble
Date:November 14, 2008
"This was an easy peice of furniture to assemble. All the pieces had pre drilled holes & they were numbered & even the bags of small parts were lall ettered that even my toddler helped. It was worth the money & looks beautiful. It is a heavy piece of furniture when it is all put together. So worth the money"

Great Table From Three Sides
Date:October 29, 2008
"We're very pleased with this end table. We bought it to match a larger TV stand piece from the same set and both look nice with our darker mission leather sofa and chair set. This craftsman collection has a great warm rustic/casual look and I particularly love the black metal hardware.
The only problem with this particular end table is the back veneer covered press board piece. Obviously, they don't really expect people to be looking at the back of this table because the the wood pattern that is printed on the back of that piece does not match the color (darker and more red) or texture (wood grain pattern is much larger) of the rest of the pieces. Unfortunately we have a large living area space divided into two separate sitting and dining sections by the sofa being positioned with it's back to the dining set. When we place this end table next to it, the end side is really in the center of the room and the mismatch is quite obvious. If I had know that ahead of time, I might not have picked this particular piece. However, I do have enough room to place my set of folding tv-tables directly behind it so that does a good enough job of hiding the problem. Otherwise we love the table!

Loooove it!
Date:October 28, 2008
"I needed an end table for my living room. I wanted something that had storage and and could stand up to my children and being the drop zone for keys, mail and still look nice. This holds up well for my family. The only thing about it is that the drawers did not stay closed at first but I was able to fix that fairly easily. Great buy and very pretty color."

Nice piece of furntiure
Date:October 17, 2008
"I ordered this table in the dark oak. It was fairly easy to put together compared to some of the other furniture I've ordered. It looks nice (it's currently beig used as a night stand). The only thing I'm not crazy about is that it's not really dark oak. It's definitely a red oak color, so it doesn't match the rest of my furniture. It definitely wasn't worth paying to send it back though, so I'm keeping it. It's a decent piece of furniture so long as you know the color you're actually getting."

Nice collection, but watch the darker finishes
Date:September 28, 2008
"A very nice piece, and a nice collection. I got the Macintosh finish to match the rest of my room, but the finish obscures the grain too much. I have another piece from the same collection in Dark Oak, and it is spectacular."

good value for the $$
Date:September 27, 2008
"We have bought several pieces from Home Decorators in the Crafstman line. We cannot afford the prices of solid wood Mission style furniture offered on other sites and this line offered by Home Deocrators is the perfect compromise. We bought two of this particular piece to serve as end tables in our family room. They match our decor well and were easy to assemble. The piece has a good finish, however, as for any regularly used horizontal surface, I would recommend adding a glass top, doily or other protective measure to ensure the top's integrity from everyday objects.
Bottom line: a good buy.
