Stain Shield Provides Durable Protection for Rugs and Fabrics Protect your beautiful decor from stain damage with this rug and fabric protector. Our fabric spray will extend the life of your upholstered furniture, rugs, drapes, wall-to-wall carpet and more. The stain shield can be used on many fabrics, including leather and delicate silk. It is recommended that you clean your rug or fabric and re-apply this product every 24 months for normal use and every 12 months in high-traffic areas. Professional cleaning does not remove the protection. Avoid stains from red wine, fruit juices, catsup, pasta sauces, coffee, pet soils, mud and grass. Spills will bead up for easy removal. Items treated with our fabric protector also resist fading, even if subject to direct sunlight.Our fabric guard is environmentally friendly and hypoallergenic. The Rug and Fabric Shield Stain Protector won't change the color or texture of your fabric. The fabric spray molecularly bonds with fibers and individually coats them to form a flexible film that does not crack with normal use. Items treated with fabric protector can be steam cleaned multiple times without product degradation.One can covers an average-sized couch, two chairs or one 5'x8' rug. The net weight is 10 oz. "I bought 2 cans of this to use on a carpet I bought we followed instructions very carefully. This product smells when you put it on but that goes away after about 8 hours and does not leave the smell on what you used it on. But that was not the problem.....the problem is it does not work!! We had a puppy that had an accident and tried everything even a carpet cleaner and there is a stain on the new carpet."

"It's early to rate the product, as it hasn't been stress tested with spills. I liked that it didn't change the color of the rug and should hold up better than other store bought products. If applying to rug inside house, I recommendation good ventilation with a fan blowing and wearing a painter's mask during application, as the spray will get into the air."

"I sprayed a can of the stain protector on my 8x5 rug. OMG the fumes were so STRONG. I'm not exaggerating; it took a full week for the smell to dissipate. And that's with blowing fans and open windows. If I had a garage, I would have just left it outside for a week.
Not sure if it works just yet andI hope I don't have to find out soon."

"I have not had our new rug for long, but I immediately used this product when I put it down and so far, it has done a great job of protecting the rug. My son is 17 months old so tends to spill things quite often and they bead up and wipe right off. Very fast shipping as well!"

"I bought this spray and used it to cover 4 X 6 rug. The can states it covers a 5 x 8 rug, so I had some left over. The other day i spilled red wine on a light rug and the stain came off! I wet a paper towel and blotted it for a little bit. The spray does have a smell, but it eventually goes away."

"The rug & fabric shield was as advertised and had a pleasant odor as opposed to some other brands - which I felt was very important since I was spraying a rug that I had no place to spray outside. I would suggest to get more than they recommend. I really needed a can + but only purchased one because of their yardage calculations - had to finish with some other brand - but preferred this one."
