"This came in about 100 pieces but the final product is very nice and exceeds our expectations. The shipping and packing from Home Decorators was amazing; almost overnight shipping and the unit was very well packed. It took us almost 4 hours to put this together; the instructions were not very good."

"I've purchased a bench with 2 baskets in Macintosh oak. The color is a little lighter than on the picture, but looks very nice and rich. The brown leather seat is really brown and not purple as it was said in one of the previous reviews. It comes very good with the color of the bench and the baskets (they are of a nice dark color). The biggest surprise was that the bench came totally assembled! I haven't had to do anything but unpack it. By the way, it came really fast (it took less than a week) and it was packed very good to protect the item from any damages. This was my first purchase from HomeDecorators, and I'm very-very pleased. The bench looks stylish and very good made."

"The craftsman collection is just what I was looking for. I have a home office that was in need of some organization. THe bench and file chests are perfect. The kids toys can go into the baskets and my paperwork now has some organization to it. My accountant will be happy.
The only con I can give is the color was off just a bit. A lot more red oak looking than dark oak that I thought matched my current office furniture.
Set-up was time consuming but not difficult. The instructions miss a few items but they are not difficult to figure out.
Great product overall!"

"The product is composed of very heavy pieces, so wrestling with the partially assembled bench by myself was no easy feat. Two of the holes drilled for the cam locks were too shallow for the hardware, so I had to improvise to keep the piece assembled. I chose not to attach the drawers to the sliders, because they were difficult to close when attached. The bench looks amazing assembled, but it was a toughie to get together."

"The bench is very sturdy and perfect for an entranceway. We keep shoes, gloves, dog leashes, etc in the wicker baskets which hide all these items nicely. The bench allows a place to sit to put shoes on. It has cleaned up a normally very cluttered area. The dark oak has a little more of an orange hue than I expected but is still a nice color. The only two negatives are that the ivory cushion gets dirty easily especially with kids so I may have it reupolstered. (I wanted to try the leather cushion but it looked too purple and the ivory looked less formal suiting our entranceway better.) Also, it's not super difficult to assemble, but time consuming - about 2-3 hours. That aside, it's a very nice piece of furniture that I would recommend to anyone."

"Took a bit longer than expected to put together but the results are very nice. Saw in store, so please be aware that black leather is actually more like a dark burgundy, goes well in our house but if you want black this could disappoint. Nice addition to our foyer!"

"Kit went together fairly easily in about 3.5 hours. 2 minor annoyances: (1) top kept shooting off the included glue tube (I dumped it & used my own glue), (2) I had to rechase the screw thread holes in the metal rims on the basket bottoms to get the screws to go into them. The unit is nice looking and sturdy (ship weight of about 85lbs). We are well pleased. As previously noted the dark oak finish has a lot of red in it (almost cherry wood looking except for the grain patterns). I'd prefer it honey'r, but it is nice looking and is working A-OK in the foyer for winter items & shoes. Good looking and good value."

"After over a year of hestitation, I finally ordered the Craftman Bench. I had called customer support to find out if the top of the bench was finished so I could use it more as a table than a bench but was unable to get an answer. Finally decided to order it anyway and I am glad I did. Yes the top of the bench is finished so you don't have to attach the cushion if you don't want to. Cushion is attached by hidden velco strips under the lip of the bench. Assembly took a few hours but went smoothly. We do have one drawer that doesn't close properly but I think we will be able to adjust the track to fix it.

Bench looks great in our living room and now I have 4 baskets and drawers to hide all my 3 year olds "stuff.""

"This bench turned out to be much nicer than I expected. The construction is very solid and the finish is lovely. The light oak is a little darker than it showed online but is a nice color. This is as very handsome piece! It did take over an hour to assemble but was worth it."
