"The back side of the desk is made of cheap material. I had to put the desk against the wall it's so cheap. the assembly took a whole day. I'm Very disappointed. A waste of money."

"Aside from being very heavy packages, this desk kit was great. Take your time putting it together to make sure that you install the drawer slides in the correct direction. It is also helpful to have a helper when securing the big pieces together or anchoring the top on, but one person can put it together -- I did! The end result is a beautiful desk which I think looks better than in the catalog."

"We really like the appearance of this desk, especially the wood grain pattern on the desk's surface. The drawers all work well, the space for a chair would only work for an 18inch seat height. It would be great if they sold chairs that went with it!"

"I had looked at this desk for a long time before I took the plunge and bought it. I couldn't find another with the dimensions that it had for depth that would still have the room it has. The drawers are big enough on the side to put a phone book in and then some. It looks great. I have it up against a wall, but if you had it out in the room, the backing is not as pretty...same color, but not like the finish in front. However I think it looks classy in its' simple way. I will say also that this one requires some help to get together, or that you have some long clamps (don't forget to use a towel or something under the clamps!). It is a heavy box when it arrives. I knew which way to put the runners on for the drawers from already having put together the Mission style Anywhere little chest, which might have been confusing, since the directions weren't as clear for the 7 drawer writing desk here. But overall I'm very happy with it. I got the chestnut color and it's just like the picture."
