"The quality of the parts to put it together were poor. One of the cam locks broke completely and another one bent making it unusable. Replacement pars were sent within 10 days. I replaced the defective parts and thought it was OK, but when I went to move the stand into place, the top came off again. I had completed putting it together and now I have to take it apart again to see what is wrong this time."

"This is a very lovely TV stand, and I am very pleased that I bought it. The only problem I had was with the locks on the screws. They did not work at some of the points and I broke some of them, and it also damaged some of the wood. I don't know what happened, because this was not the case for the whole asembly. All in all, when it was finally together I had a very lovely piece of furniture, and it looks great in my room. The instructions were quite easy too."

"I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH MY OTHER PURCHASES IN PAST YEARS. THIS ITEM WAS DIFFICULT TO ASSEMBLE BECAUSE OF POOR FITS AND LACK OF STABILITY. Looks great, but....

"This unit was not too difficult to put together and looks wonderful; the finish is good and it does not look like "assembly-required" furniture. However, there are issues with the sturdiness and suitability for its intended use. The swiveling shelf on which the TV goes is rated at 240 lb. in the manual that comes with the unit but my old-fashioned 27" set makes the shelf's edges buckle downward, and it weighs perhaps 1/3 of the rated capacity. And the shelf under that is very flimsy. The width makes it suitable for 2 components but my DVD player and A/V receiver make the shelf sag in the middle, which in turn causes the doors to scrape, no matter how I try and adjust them. This shelf, as well as the swiveling top shelf, should be thicker so this does not happen. I would recommend this unit but only to someone with a lighter TV and just a DVD player of standard size to go on the shelf below it.
Also, some kind of pads or gliders for the floor would have been nice (I put my own pads on the 4 corners)."

"This is a very high quality tv stand and was not hard to put together so long as you are careful to follow the directions. It handles a 27" standard tv without any problem. The only problem I had was with the delivery. Fedex Ground dumped the box over a six-foot fence onto a bed of coral rock about 150 feet from the entrance to my house. Since it weighs more than 80 pounds, it did substantial damage to the the box, damaged some of the parts, and required that I hire someone on short notice to help me get it into the house. If it had not been for the excellent packing, I'm sure it would have shattered the tv stand. I decided to build the tv stand with the damaged parts because I could hide the damage in the back. Home Decorators gave me a small credit and promised to replace the damaged top at a later date if any structural damage became apparent from the blow. I highly recommend the product and Home Decorators, but I would try not to use Fedex Ground for delivery."

"This media cabinet looks great when assembled, and the scale is wonderful. It's hard to find a piece like this under 48". It's certainly not heirloom quality, but a very good value for the money. I did a lot of shopping, and consider this the best value under $800."

Also, there are some niks and scratchs on the piece whether from assembly, packaging or shipping. I'm satisfied but not willing to give 5 stars. "Unit did not fit together properly. Door hinges bent, and doors wouldn't close. We even went to the hardware store and bought new hinges, but the doors still didn't fit. The whole unit swayed when pushed. We ended up sending it back."

TV Stand Small Bedroom

"This stand was purchased by my Mother, who moved into my home after my Fathers passing. She had a stand quite similar to this in her own home, but had given it away. It's quite heavy, and arrived without damage, very well packed. Hard to believe but its made in China. It took about 1.5 hours to unpack and assemble. I think it's a very nice looking unit, one of the better swivel TV Stands. If your set is heavy, it will support up to 240 lbs. In my Mothers case, her TV weighs a mere 26 lbs. It doesn't give the impression of being "Kit" furniture. The color was a dead on, just as it looked in the ad. I do think it's overpriced, but overall it's worth it. Good job by Home Decorators getting this shipped out, excellent service."

"I had looked for a long time for a swivel top tv stand to replace the one I had, which was very dated. I was thrilled when I found this one! It is extremely sturdy and very well made. All the pieces were clearly marked for assembly. I did find the directions a bit confusing, I think not putting so many instructions on one page would've been more helpful. Do be careful with the left and right pieces and the "which side is up" when you assemble it. I did have to take it apart because I put one of the shelves in wrong. All in all, it's a beautiful piece of furniture and I'm very happy with it."

"After looking for seven months for my daughter a TV Stand, I was about to give up finding a heavy, durable item that I could afford. This item is beautiful, detailed wood that looks like it would cost around four times the amount charged. The assemby falls about in the middle of from Easy to Very Difficult but is well worth the time required when you consider the savings in cost."

"Very pleased with TV stand. Color was a little darker than it appeared on-line. Assembly was very easy. No tools required although I did use a screwdriver as I found it easier than the tool provided. Couple of flaws in the wood but I was able to shade them in."
