"Upon receiving the box, in high anticipation of what the next few hours would bring me, I placed all the items out and inventoried. No problems! Round 1, Check!
I read through the directions and began the process of putting the bookcase together. The directions were easy to understand and the illustrations were VERY helpful. Round 2, Check!
I finished the first bookcase, got it moved to its rightful place and that's when my buttons began to POP and pride took over in the form of patting myself on the back, for a job well done. Round 3. Check!

The finish and quality of the wood exceeded my expecations. All of the parts were in the box, yay! There were pre-drilled holes for aligning even the most stubborn of situations and that helped TREMENDOUSLY!
The directions recommended the case be put together with 2 people, I handled everything just fine by myself, so don't let that direction prevent you just diving right in and starting.
Bout 2, ready to begin!

I have these two bookcases on either side of my fireplace and they look like they've been there for years. They are a wonderful accompaniment to the style and decor of the room and are fetching tons of compliments as people walk through the front door.

"The packaging for this bookcase was excellent. The box was damaged on the outside but everything on the inside was perfect. All parts were labeled so easy to identify and to put together. The bookcase was for my husband and he was pleased with it. The bookcase met our expectations. Very good value for the price."

"This is my 4th purchase from HD, but the 1st time I've had to assemble anything. Assembly was no big deal- maybe an hour at most- and I consider myself to not be a "do it yourself-er"! Super pleased with HD and their selections, service, and quality. It's why I keep going back!"

"This is a petite bookcase that is fairly nice looking but the quality is not great. I'm still trying to figure out the shelves. They are really short, and I can't really fit anything on them. If I take every other one out, they will be too far apart. My husband says he might be able to adjust them, so we'll see."

"upon receiving bookcase we saw the box was damaged in four spots. the first piece we removed had a 2' chip and was the front door- very notiecable- then 3 more chips. the item was not well constucted and we were so surprised because our first purchase arrived in perfect condtion and is so beautiful! this disappointment will not stop us from further purchases but we will read the descriptions more carefully. return of item was seamless and we thank you for that."

"I am very happy with this bookcase. I was able to assemble it myself in a short period of time. The doors lined up perfectly. There are many adjustable shelves; my other bookcases have always had a fixed shelf that limited use.
My only disappointment was that my bookcase was damaged in shipping. The box was punctured and had been taped. The only part of the bookcase that was damaged was the base. Since that is not visible with the doors closed at the bottom and I did not want to wait for a replacement, I did not contact the manufacturer regarding the damage."

"We are very satisfied with this piece. It was the third piece we (two women) assembled for the day, but it went together in about an hour. No problems. My only complaint is that it came with a small nick on one door where the finish had been scraped. Otherwise, it lives up to the online description and looks great. Very attractive office piece."

"The bookcase took an evening to assemble and other than putting the doors on the cabinet it was fairly easy to assemble. It is solid wood which is what I wanted, and although it is probably not the finest furniture in the world I am happy with it."

"I'd suggest staying away from this bookshelf. I don't hate it but I do regret buying it. It looks alright at a glance but upon a closer look you can tell how cheap it is. It’s not the worst purchase I've made but I think it’s fair to say it's not worth the money."

"I purchased this piece to use for a little extra storage in an entryway. It isn't high quality furniture but it does look nice enough, it was the right price, and it was easy to put together. I did end up needing to color in the shelf pegs with a permanent marker as they are white and the whole unit is black (go figure) and I will be changing out the hardware soon but overall good buy for the money."
