"These a very nice wooden stools, make sure to get the smaller ones (24") for kitchen use. The 29" would be for a taller bar setting. There is no assembly at all; however, I would put soft felt stickers on the bottom of the legs to prevent the scratching of a wood floor. You can buy the felt stickers at any big home improvement store inexpensively. My only complaint is that it took 6 weeks to ship and receive a supposedly "in-stock" item....regardless, we love the stools and they were well worth the price and wait."

"there is a spot on the top of the stool where the wood is damaged, the boxes it arrived in were great so it had to have happened before packing. its unfortunate, right on the top of the seat of the chair."

"After several weeks the stools finally arrived and they were defective. They rocked...meaning the legs were not all the same length. In addition the stool shipped did not match the one pictured in style and color."

"I had seen fantastic saddle chairs from PB at someone's house. PB no longer sell these so after searching in stores I settled on these online.
These are much cheaper and honestly you can tell. I bought 4 and 3 of them wobble. The clear coat finish is scratchy and different on all of them.
All-in-all I got what I paid for......
I would not recommend these to anyone."

"I bought two of these stools and thought they were a good deal, but when I got them, they were wobbly, with a poor finish and of very cheap quality, which surprised me because my previous purchases with Home Decorator's have been very good. These are going back asap. Very disappointing. HD, take these out of your catalog!"

"I ordered 2 in walnut. They arrived and 1 was a different color and had white paint on it. I called customer service and they were very helpful and said they would resolve the problem. I received a new stool 1 week later. The colors match.
This is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for" They are inexpensive reproductions but are functional for my purposes."

"As stated in other reviews this stool comes fully assembled. I have priced and tested similar stools in local furniture stores and from a craftsmanship standpoint these stools are very sturdy. My concern is the finish. We've used the stools for a few days now and the foot bar finish is already starting to wear. I will likely need to re-stain in the near future to keep up the appearance. All-in-all the stool is comfortable and the value is spot on."

"The saddle seat counter stools fit perfectly in my newly remodeled kitchen. They are very sturdy and stylish too. The fake, painted joints and distressed corners are unnecessary but OK. Overall the stools are just exactly what I wanted and coming completely assembled in perfect condition was a real bonus."

"I adore these stools! You can not beat the price, or the quality for the price. And they come already assembled- major bonus! The first time I sat in one (out of 6), the rung broke right off, due to manufacturer defect. The exchange process couldn't have been any easier, and the customer service was excellent (a rarity these days). Can't recommend them enough."
