"the external look is beautiful and goes great with my home decor. you would never know it's a filing cabinet. the inside construction is a little inferior. i had to add some wood glue on one of the cabinets inside drawer and then stain it. i would still recommend this, it is beautiful and unique."

Not What I Expected

"Good: The piece came promptly and was easy to assemble (nothing to it, just screw in feet and put file bars in place). It has character and to get a piece of similar style, it would be much more than $200.
Bad: The leather is cheap and is covered over with a paint-like material that makes it hard and brittle (corners wear easily to expose the wood underneath). The wood behind the cabinet is particle board and part of the handle is made of plastic. Finally, the file cabinet space is very shallow.
All in all, it looks nice from far away and gives the room character but I got what I paid for... A cheap imitation of an antique file cabinet.
I paid for shipping and freight for it to come and for $200, its not worth it to return it at my cost (returns are "easy" but you have to pay for it). It would cost almost a 1/2 of the price just to return it!
Just understand that this is not great quality..."

"I really like this! It looks so classy in an office. The only two issues I have had are the smell and the file hanging bars. The smell can be overwhelming at first but I put laundry drier sheets in the drawers and it dissipated within a couple of days. One of the file hanging bars is shorter than the rest which makes the files fall on one side. I just have to be very careful when working in that drawer or I have to remove everything to put the bar back in place."
