"Rug feels soft underfoot, especially with the pad I ordered. Colors are what I needed: rusty red with touches of sage green and a lots of soft gold. The description reads red and ivory, but I would call it red and gold. I received lots of courteous help from the people at the Home Decorator's Outlet in St. Louis, where I first saw the rug and was also pleased with the service I later received on line and via phone. I can't wait to receive my next Home Decorator's catalog!"

"Purchased in Green/Gold color: Great quality, prompt shipping, great price. Only negative: The color of the gold is actually more yellow than gold. I am, still very pleased with the rug and am using it in the foyer of my home."

"I am writing this review one year after having this carpet, to say it still has the same strong chemical odor it had when it arrived. It hits me when I walk in the door, and now I am thinking i must dispose of this rug. Its a very nice rug in other ways, but if its stinking up the house, then its really no good. I'm not an ultra sensitive person to smells, but this one is really queer and bothersome. A very unpleasant chemical odor...."

"I am mostly happy with this rug - the pattern and colors are a little more muted, not quite as sharp as they appeared on my computer screen. But for the price, especially with the free shipping at the time I ordered, I am quite satisfied."

"Just completed installing wood flooring that included two 16-ft hallways. Looked for 2-ft by 12-ft carpet runners in stores without success. Spent about 45 minutes clicking through the runners on HomeDecorater's website and found what it looked like we wanted. Our only concern was whether the web images were true to the actual colors. They were right on the money. Very pleased with the result.
Some previous reviews mentioned a smell. There was a bit of mustiness on opening the packaging, but it was completely dissapated within minutes."

"This was a very nice rug. Great quality and construction. A previous reviewer noted a strong odor. The rug did have a manufacturing-type smell no different than when you get new carpets installed in your house. After a few vacuumings the smell was completely gone."
