I love this bookcase! It's reminiscent of Southern classic design, and is very well made. It arrived in two well packed boxes, both arrived quickly after ordering and in great condition. The assembly instructions were well illustrated and easy to follow. My husband and I completed the assembly in about 1 1/2 hours.

I had originally ordered this unit as a bookshelf, however decided to use it to hide/organize my crafting supplies, and am ordering a second unit for books. I have ordered crafting furniture from Home Decorators, this units shape, size and style has really improved the overall room appearance."

"Quick delivery. Once we received it, opened the package to find that one of the pieces was broken. Called the customer help/parts department, they were very helpful and sent out another piece that very day. When the new piece arrived we put it together without much problem. The only thing I can say negative about this piece of furniture is that one of the doors is slightly out of line but it is hardly noticable and not worth sending back for just that. Overall I am pretty happy."

"I ordered two cabinets to use in my newly remodeled living room. The first one arrived damaged,but a call to customer service had a replacement part sent. The second arrived in perfect condition. The cabinets fit my space perfectly,and are extremely handsome and well made. Hats off to the service person who made a hassle-free replacement!"

"Wanted a cabinet for my flat screen and a place to store books. When the box came I thought I would not be able to assemble the piece. But the directions were very clear and I appreciated all the pieces being numbered. If I could put this together, anyone can. Really looks nice in my bedroom."

"I purchased this bookcase because I wanted doors to hide "stuff." It does that job beautifully and looks expensive, too. Having to assemble it made me reluctant to buy this but the price and size convinced me to try it. Assembly took me (by myself) about 4 hours. It would have been faster if I had started with an electric screwdriver. You need a power tool for all the screws. The assembly instructions were easy to follow and all the parts were labeled and complete. I recommend this if you want an attractive bookcase."

"I was looking for a shallow armoire for my small bathroom with no storage. I looked forever and then found this site. This "bookcase" works perfectly to stash all my bathroom necessaries. It looks great, was easy to put together (although there are parts you need 2 people for, e.g. doors). I have already recommneded it to a friend. People have commented what a beautiful addition it is to my new bathroom.
The comment about the doors being confusing is true, if you don't realize the instruction picture is just exactly backwards. The holes in the piece are correctly pre-drilled. One of my shutters was a little askew, but when doors are shut you can't even tell."

"Downsized to a condo and found that most of our furniture was too large for the rooms. I needed a bookcase/cabinet in a light and airy bedroom at the beach. It's just the right size to hide things in!Easy assembly and looks great! Most "some assembly required" items don't give enough screws, bolts etc. This gave extra!!"

"I’m happy with this 3-shelf cabinet. For the price, the quality is very good. I wanted it to hold cookbooks and clutter in a small space in my kitchen, and it works well and looks good. As for assembly, I read the reviews and hoped I could do it alone (I’m female, 60s—I was encouraged by the reviewer who put hers together in one afternoon with a 5-year-old. I was minus the 5-yr-old but decided to take a chance). At first the huge box and many parts dismayed me, but parts were well marked, and directions for the most part were clear (doors and drawer instructions need more detail). Using strategic propping, and working alone, I managed to get it together over two afternoons. Make sure the cam locks are really tight, otherwise it wobbles. Drawer bolts didn’t seem to fit at first, but they just needed to be exactly aligned, and eventually I figured out how the hinges worked on the doors (instructions here were woefully lacking—I had to look at hinges on other cabinets to see how to install them). Overall, the pre-drilled holes were right, and things fit where they were supposed to. The wood at one side split slightly, but I will patch it and paint to hide the split. I wasn’t able to find a similar-sized cabinet in any stores, so all in all, I’m satisfied with this purchase and feel triumphant that I put it together myself."

"I have been reviewing products like this for months before finding this one. I liked the look of it on the web site. I trusted the dimensions and color - and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived because all my expectations had been met - if not exceeded. I use this in our foyer - which is a fairly small space. It does not intrude and is perfectly sized for the room. Not to mention I have more enclosed space that I use to hide my purse and any materials I bring home from work. I highly recommend!"

"The directions to put the cabinet together were OK, but actually assembling it takes two people. Also, you have to be handy with tools. It took my husband and I 4 hours to put it together. The wood split a little on the side which doesn't look very good. My husband kept telling me that it wasn't well made and he was disappointed in it. He told me that he won't have anymore of these in the house and I couldn't order anymore. I like the design but putting it together was stressful. I hope this review is posted."

"I did not expect the cabinet to arrive in so many individual pieces because the box was so large and the add mentioned 'some assembly required'. Well, that means every part needs to be assembled! The cabinet is great, useful and stores what I need. It was purchased because of it's height and eventual use as a buffet table base. The only issue during assembly we had was when we placed downward pressure on the bottom shelf, the material cracked and the connection fell apart. Because it's not seen from the front, we can live with it. Overall, very satisfied with this product."
