"It is misleading to say in the specifications listed for this credenza that it is "wood/glass". It IS some kind of heavy, mashed-wood particle product covered by a poor, unevenly finished "veneer"-type product, but the description does not indicate that. Some people might say, "You get what you pay for, and this was a bargain." I believe that a bargain is something of at least good qualilty for a very good price. Not only are the materials poor, but the workmanship is just as quirky. Examples: holes do not line up; arrows on separate pieces (to indicate which surfaces should face the front) were put on backwards; the base is almost one-eighth of an inch off-center for the whole cabinet, so one side hangs over (it's slight, but it still clearly shows). While I have successfully assembled many pieces of furniture, I rated assembly for this piece as difficult because so much had to be repaired or re-done before it could really be assembled. That does not include the work which will need to be done to cover the discolorations on the surface. Perhaps the problems and blemishes were particular to just this piece, but having to spend more money to send such a heavy thing back doesn't make much sense. (The bright yellow tape put around the box by UPS said, "Caution! Over 70 lbs.")"

"My husband put the credenza together with no problems. It is sturdy, attractive and gives me the extra storage I needed for new dishes. My housekeeper liked it so much she asked me for the information on how to purchase one for herself and said she would be buying it too."

"I had the challenge of finding a piece of furniture for my bathroom to match the existing chocolate brown vanities with rectangular white porcelain sinks. This piece was the perfect size and style(transitional). The cardboard boxes were in very bad shape - torn, dry, falling apart. Nothing was damaged because of the inside packaging, but it came very close. Once assembled by my contractor, I noticed some dings and areas with hardly no stain - so the quality control needs to reviewed. Having a stain pen to touch up the areas took care of the issue - it might be a good idea to include one with the furniture? Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would buy another one if needed"

"Although the item was very well packaged, there were a few panels (i.e. the top panel) that was already slightly scratched on the surface and had a little ding on the corner. Hence, looking close and carefully, there were a few flaws; but from a distance, it looks very nice and fits well with my decor. There was one (L) drawer panel where the manufacturer had forgotten to cut-out the indent on one end in order for it to fit onto its front drawer panel without making it a mm or 2 wider; however, customer service was easy to contact, and I received a replacement part within a week or so. This was the first piece of furniture I've purchased that had all the various screws and attachment pieces separated by type, individually bagged, and properly labeled, which made it even more helpful and convenient. Most other (assembly-required) furniture normally just put everything into one big bag. Having a second person to help probably could have shortened the assembly time, but I still managed to assemble everything myself. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase, and find it very appealing. I intend to keep this one around for hopefully at least the next decade if not longer."

"I purchased 2 of these and also a curio cabinet. The mirrored back to the curio was smashed. They had a replacement to me in 3 days, no charge. Great customer service. In the past, I've bought several other pieces and am always pleased with the quality and the price. But what I like best is the quick response and resolution if there's ever a problem."

"It's certainly not "luxury" or "fine" furniture, but serves well in our home office for extra storage while providing an extra work surface.
Even though it was packaged well, there were still some minor scratches and dings. Putting it together took some patience and it doesn't begin to feel sturdy until you finally put on the backing board, which helps keep the overall structure rigid. It ends up being pretty heavy and I can image if it gets moved around too many times it would begin to loose its sturdiness over time. Also, two of the bottom cabinet doors brush up against the top frame when opening and closing.
So, overall it is a functional unit and a good value at its price, but I wouldn't put it in a formal dining area, for example."

"I had experience with this type of assembly, but still took two people,both experienced, 3 hours to assemble. Not recommended unless you hace someone to assist you with the assembly. Otherwise satisfied with the unit overall."

"This is a very nice and functional piece. The assembly was really easy, but time consuming (it took me about 2.5 hours to do alone.) Overall the piece looks like a high quality expensive piece of furniture, and not something that I put together myself. I would definitely recommend it!"

"I had been looking for something very similar for a long time without success and so when I found this at such a reasonable price I jumped on the purchase. Shipping was quick, but the assembly was complex and quite time-consuming. I did manage it alone (except for lifting the top in place), but it took many hours and the directions, while good, were not without flaw. Also: I think I was shorted on one type of screw and as a consequence feel that one drawer, while functional, is not the 100% smooth slide that I would like. I would liken it to childbirth, not an enjoyable process, but I have received compliments and I am happy with the outcome; it is very decent quality and appearance for the price. One note: I am happy with the color, but it is a little darker than what I had expected from the web page."

"I had been viewing this buffet for a while. Several years ago, I had purchased a cabinet for our widescreen TV from the same collection and was very pleased. I am just as pleased with this piece. It looks great in our dining room and has great storage capacity. The only problem we had with assembly was some of the screws for the doors were missing. We just purchased similar screws from the home improvement store. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase."

"I had been looking around for months for a server/buffet with dark wood. I went ahead and bought the 3-door server and am SO glad that I did! While it took 3.5 hours for me to put together (all by myself), the final product was just what I wanted. The instructions were easy to follow and all necessary pieces were included in the packaging. The pieces are made of nice, evenly-colored dark brown wood (not the super-cheap looking particle board stuff). The drawers roll very nicely. The cabinets line up and close almost perfectly/evenly (I think my floor is a little uneven). And I have gotten MANY compliments on this piece from guests. This nice-looking and affordable server has completed my dining room. LOVE IT!"
