"Unfortunately, the border color of this rug is not even close to the color that was delivered. The color delivered was a burgandy/wine color. This color choice wasn't even an option so I'm not really sure how i received this. I recently sent it back and chose the beige. I am crossing my fingers and hope i get the color choice I picked."

Nice Rug - Color Deceiving

"This rug seems to be great - especially for the price. However, the color shown on the website looks nothing like it does in person. I ordered the "Lichen", which appeared to be a greenish-bluish-gray color. In reality, it is a dark tan with no hint of green or blue. (I realize that all computer monitors display colors slightly differently, though.) I should also note that there is a slight striped pattern in the jute. Regardless, I was able to use the rug in a different area than planned, and it has held up great so far."

"Purchased the rug to cover a very large living area. The workmanship is good and the variation in fiber colors adds a nice touch to the room. There is, however, one noticable line in the fibers the full length of the rug, but this is mostly covered by furniture. Delivery was prompt and exactly as scheduled."

"I like the texture of these rugs, but the "Lichen" color is not as advertised in the catalogue or on the website. There the color looks green, like lichen moss really is in nature; on the rugs, it is simply brown - a pretty color, but not what I was looking for."

"Rug is as described; no surprises or disappointments.
Edge binding is wide enough to enhance the design.
Backing is definitely non-skid. No unpleasant odor.
Jute is not soft, of course, but more than tolerable for bare feet.

"I had received Home Decorator magazines for years and never thought about ordering from them. However, I have had trouble keeping a rug in my family room for more than 2-3 years that didn't start to fall apart (prior rugs purchased at Pottery Barn and Home Depot). After reading the reviews and comparing prices, I thought I didn't have much to lose in ordering this rug. It fits the space perfectly, looks exactly like what I expected, and so far, seems the best value to date. I will know better in 2 years. The rug is thin, but I prefer that look on hardwood floors. The downsides so far: there are still a few creases that haven't worked themselves out yet after 2 weeks, and it arrived with a grease smudge (about the size of a fist) on the fabric border. However, some carpet cleaner removed it completely."

"We bought a 3'x8' Runner in Saddle for our kitchen area by the sink. This jute rug is much softer than a previous one we had in the same area. Feels great. Our kitties even love it :) The only disappointmet is that it moves around even though it has a rubber backing ... but this is a heavily traveled area & we are not using a rug pad. The rug was back ordered for quite some time, but worth the wait."
