"After years of large dining tables, this option allows expansion to easily seat 8 while hiding out as a side table when not in use. As a single female, I'm able to handle the expansion and contraction with a few of extra passes at each side; expansion is easy with two people. The solid wood makes for a rather heavy piece but it looks good and has the appearance of an expensive dining table."

Perfect table for a small space!

"I have wanted a dining table for our smallish space for years. When I came across this one, I thought the design was brilliant - a table that could fold up to a small entry table and expand to seat 8! However, I was skeptical about how it would look. I was pleasantly surprised! It's not the most beautiful piece in my living room, but the quality is really pretty good. Though I would have preferred to have paid more for a darker finish, I am really happy with this purchase!"

"This was the perfect solution for our small space. We needed a table that could be used for card playing or working puzzles as well as a table for serving refreshments for parties. This table is attractive, well-made and versatile. When it is not needed as a table, it becomes a sideboard or sofa table requiring little space, but will expand to a card table or a dining table for six. I would recommend this product without reservation. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition."

"The table was almost impossible to convert from the console to a larger table. We finally gave up and returned it. In addition when we finally were able to get it to the size of a game table there were small dimples along the seam of the table top.
We ordered the table that had a functional drawer but this one did not."

"Having a small nyc apt, I've taken my time buying a dining table because well, space is limited, but when I saw this product I thought it was worth a shot... and it was (worth it, that is).
The mechanics of the table are easy to figure out, and it was very easy to assemble (the only thing required to do was screw the legs onto it).
The reason I didn't give this product five stars in overall rating was that hardware was missing ... (four nuts and washers) but customer service had various attractive options to handle this quickly.
The reason I gave only four stars in appearance was that there was one small imperfection in one of the sections of the table... but certainly not a deal breaker.
Overall, I am very satisfied and getting ready to host a 9-person brunch this weekend."

"The expandable table has a nice appearance. It serves a purpose and sure beats having to store folding tables! The construction is sound; but the glides need some improvements so as to slide more easily. Two adults had a hard time. It took a lot of lubricant to get them working. In spite of that, we are pleased with our purchase."

"I have a tiny dining room and this is just what I needed. It can accomodate a holiday crowd and is perfect as a console the rest of the time. Very easy to attach legs and after a little bar soap in the rails underneath, it glides open. I was a little disappointed in the color- I expected the cherry to be darker. So if you want traditional dark cherry, this is not your table."

"Legs attached easily and were more solid than I expected. Color seemed a little lighter than catalog. Only disappointment was that extra leaves for 60" extension were not self-storing. Folding chairs were a good match. Shipment was quick and I appreciate being able to track order status."
