"I love this lamp a lot! The illuminated base makes a wonderful jewel-tone nightlight. It has three modes - top lit, bottom lit and both lit. I use all three often. The only drawback to this lamp, which is why I gave it four stars instead of five, is because I had to put another lampshade on it. The one it comes with is horrible. But the lamp base is fabulous. In fact, I think I am going to buy another to have a pair!"

"The base of the lamp is beautiful but the shade leads a lot to be desired. The shade looks really cheap. I'm sure once I replace the shade I'll be very happy."
