"Received this clock today and although it keeps time just fine, I was disappointed with the initial appearance out of the box based on the reviews I had read. The black outer decorative part of the mantle clock is heavy and appears quality, very elegant. The white clock face in the middle is made of cheap lightweight plastic. From a distance it looks fine, but up close this poor quality is very apparent. I didn't have hugely high expectations based on the low price but all the positive reviews had me hoping for better."
