"This thing is perfect for our little shower, and much cheaper than the stools that are all teak. I was worried the metal legs would look cheap, but they don't and the item is very solid. Very happy with purchase."

"Shower stool is attractive and and inexpensive. However, the teak bench seat was cracked. Order was promptly replaced but the replacement also had a cracked seat. Large cracks in a wood product subjected to water daily is not acceptable. In retrospect, I have found complaints of cracked seats in other reviews of the same item."

"Love the look and function of this piece; however, the quality is not what I expected. There are cracks in the wood and even after using teak oil on the piece, it just isn't as nice looking as I had hoped it would be. Seems to be low-quality material. Would not buy again."

"I actually purchased the rectagular teak shower stool/bench. It is very stabile. Loads of screws so it easier to use a drill with screwdriver bit.
I finished it with tung oil. looks wonderful!"

"wanted a small stool for shower and this fit, size wise .. arrivied as stated, assembly easy, just screw on legs and done .. was concerned about water damage over time so stained and coated all wood .. time will tell ..."

"Happy with purchase of square stool, not corner. Fairly easy to assemble; lots of screws, so an electric driver helped. Sturdy and looks good, BUT it's bleeding stain (?) in the shower. Just hope that it doesn't permanently stain the new shower stall..."

"Ease of assembly and size are good. Bench came with a crack at the end of one slit with wood putty filler there and in another place. Not overwhelmed with the quality. Will do for the time being, but would not order again."

"This shower stool is much nicer than the ones the carry at the home healthcare stores. The only thing I would have changed is to make the seat curved to fit your bum. It is very nice but a bit pricey."

"Nice looking piece, but assembly will have you scrambling for more tools than you expect.
19 screws attach the 4 legs to the seat and the "pre drilled holes" are little more than pinpricks, some of which are not correctly located (location would result in asymmetric legs). I needed to re-drill and relocate the screw locations to avoid stripped screwheads, skinned knuckles and wobbly, misplaced legs.
Also, the teak is unfinished/unsealed - odd for a product sold as a "shower seat". In a wet environment, the wood will gray and raise its grain over time."
