Great Hamper, but Overpriced

"I'd been wanting to get this hamper for my son's nursery for a long time, but I kept shying away from the crazy price. We finally gave in and got it (the medium size, in white) and it's perfect - just what I pictured. It looks adorable in his room and will last many years. But I still can't quite figure out why it costs as much as it does. It's well-made and very unique, but it's a wicker hamper. I guess they can charge this much because it's a fairly unique product and there's nothing quite like it sold anywhere else. Trust me, I looked. The only negative comment I have about the workmanship is that the eyes aren't quite straight - one is glued on slightly lower than the other - and the top doesn't quite fit perfectly. But these are features that show that it's handmade (I'm assuming) and add a bit of charm, at least for me. I do love this piece, I just wish it was more affordable and came with free shipping."

Flimsy!

"Wicker baskets are always overpriced but this was has taken that a bit further...
The workmanship is very poor - the weaves are loose and sticks are already coming off and broken...the velcros in the liner do not line up and the liner does not have an handle! The lid doesn't close tight.
I am keeping it only because it has the volume I need for all the clothes and it is a very cute piece. However, the brown color does not do it justice since it is for my kid's room - so, I am planning to paint it white or some other fun color in near future."

"The hamper is a very generous size. I think it looks great and is completely adorable. The only negative is that the eye buttons had little marks on them, but it's really not noticable unless you're looking really close. It works great in my nursery and adds a lot more character than a standard wicker hamper."

"Got this for my baby boy's nursery, and was so excited to order this as I had seen it used in many baby nurseries online. It is really cute and actually functional, but the workmanship is just so-so. The lid does not stay on and the lip on the inside of the lid is not even (which may be why the lid wants to slide off). I'm going to keep it however, to avoid the hassle of shipping it back."

"Bought this hamper as a baby shower gift - can't wait to see the Mommy-to-be's reaction. Product is well-made and a nice color. Arrived promptly and was packaged well. It's a little pricey but it's so cute & so perfect for the nursery that I couldn't resist buying it.
Only complaint is that the lid was slightly bent - when it was packaged to ship, the lid was placed inside the hamper and the wicker was slightly misshapen. It wouldn't sit flush on the top of the hamper. I had to stretch it out by placing a weighted bottle on the top. After about a day, it rounded out and now it's fine."

"While this hamper was very cute, the quality for the price was very poor. The lid didn't fit the bottom portion of the hamper and had pieces of wicker sticking out from it. For the amount and it wasn't on sale, I expected much more for my money. My husband even agreed and he doesn't often comment on things such as this!"

"I am very happy with my Elephant Hamper. I bought the latge size and it has planty of room to hold a weeks worth of laundry for my husband and I. It includes a white fabric liner that velcos to the hamper and can be removed to cart the laundry to your washer. Do expect it to take up a bit of space! The only thing I think could be improved is the lid just sits loosely on the top. It is not fitted in any way. It would have been nice if it could have been designed to sit inside the rim. Still, I am very glad I bought this. It cheers up my room!"

"I bought this hamper to go in my daughter's nursery. I thought this hamper was the most unique thing. Once I received it, I fell in love with it.It was a great buy,slightly pricy to me but it was one of those thing that you feel you should buy it because if you don't then you will never forgive yourself if you didn't buy it.. If you like then buy it. I can;t speak on its durability however the quality is great!"

"It's so cut that I'm tempted to talk to it every time I walk past. I downgraded on workmanship only because the lid is a little flimsy--mite not be suitable for a child's room because of it. Other than that, I love it--serves a purpose, yet the look makes it a conversation piece, instead of just a 'hamper'. I am not embarrassed to have it on display in my back hall. The velcro for the inner bag works great to hold it in place. It holds quite a lot. The dimensions are exactly correct when the lid is included in the height. Overall I'm quite happy even though it was a bit pricey with the shipping charge."
