Worth the Money

"For the money compared to what you find in a box store, it was worth the price. I cross shopped at Wal-Mart and the like and found other TV stands at a lesser price but they were not as ornate. I had some slight damage to a corner of the base from shipping, but HDC gave me a small credit. I was able to glue and screw and conceal the damage.
Small hint when assembling any furnitature that requires being put together. I use an all purpose glue and glue all joints and drawer hardware. This helps make the unit more sturdy and extends the drawer life."

Beautiful but overpriced

"I put this piece together on my own. I'm a 26 year-old woman who isn't too "construction saavy" but the directions were detailed with pictures. I suggest you get an electric screwdriver - all the screws makes your hands ache. I think the piece is pretty but not worth the price. The backing is made of cheap plywood. Some of the pre-drilled holes were a bit smaller than the screws so I had to hammer them in a bit before I screwed them in. The major issue i had is the color. I ordered antique cream but the color was a custardy/yellow. I ended up having to paint it! It took 3 coats to cover up the original color. The maple wood top is very pretty."

great except...

"The quality is much better than I expected. It looks great. They shipped it super fast too. I think I got it within 1 week. The only thing is that the top part was pretty banged up as they didn't do a good job packaging it. But we found that out after we were 90% done assembling it so we just used black marker to make the chipped spots appear better."

"I thought for the price that the workmanship and the looks of this cabinet was terrific. It took a million screws and my electric driver was broken, so I suggest using one of them. But overall, it was worth all the time to put it together. Quick delivery as well."

"If you're looking to spend a little money on a Home Entertainment unit this is perfect. It's shelves hold the DVR, receiver, Bluray and a Wii. It's easy to assemble and well made plus it comes in other colors."
