"This is a great product that is fairly easy to assemble and well-constructed. My only complaint is since I am using this as a "floating" desk, you can see the back. The screws used on the back are silver and stick out like a sore thumb on the black desk background. We'll try to paint the screws and see how it turns out. This desk is an excellent buy."

Good desk, with problems

"This is a good desk, but overall quality and construction leave a lot left to be desired. Cams and shafts are cheap quality and drawer glides do not work well. I'm still trying to get the drawer glides working properly a week after assembly.
The chair opening is very narrow. It would be nice if Home Decorators Collection would publish this measurement on all desks.
My advice would be to put this money toward something of better quality. However, it does look nice after being assembled."

"The desk arrived in two packages on two different days within a week of ordering. The packaging was very protective, but the styrofoam used is not good for the environment. As far as assembly goes, we strongly recommend that you lay out all pieces initially and review the instructions. Otherwise, the assembly process can be a tad bit challenging for first-time assemblers of knock-down furniture. Even so, we recommend two people for assembly. The desk is of good quality, with a nice finish. There's lots of drawer space. It looks well in our traditional bedroom. We are considering additional pieces in the collection."

"This desk was just what I needed with its five drawers and handsome looks. Its well made, was easy to put together and is a solid piece. I've already received compliments on its clean lines and good looks. I'm very pleased with the quality for the price."
