"Lovely rug soft muted colors, not as pictured! Much more grey than blue as mentioned in other reviews Why didn't I believe them?
Didn't return as bought the small before the 8 x 10 and it it wil find use somewhere, but glad I didn't order the big one first."

Finally Found a Rug!

"When I bought a large dark brown sectional for my yellow family room, it just "pulled" the room down. I've been looking for a year for a rug that would counter the heaviness of the sofa. After sending back two rugs that just didn't "work" in the room, I am so happy with the Wessex. The rug came within a week of ordering! The color is a light grayish blue, which is exactly what works in this room. The pattern is organic, but doesn't come across as too busy. The rug is thick and plush, but doesn't interfere with the reclining feature on the sofa. I'm pleasantly surprised that it hasn't been shedding all that much. In short, I love this rug, and am so happy with it. Thank you Home Decorators!"

"This rug looked great until I vacuumed it with my new Hoover Windtunnel. The ends of the loops came loose and I have raw fibers sticking out of it in places."

"I bought two small rugs in this pattern for the sides of a bed. The blue is very soft, not quite as saturated as the picture, but beautiful. The rug is plush and soft underfoot. Very nice purchase."

"The color and size were just right for the front door entrance into the living room and near the stairs going up to the bedrooms. It is new and is shedding a little, but overall I am very happy with the rugs."

"I ordered this rug as a set of 4 rugs in February in redoing our foyer for our daughter's wedding in April, and after several delays, it arrived the last week of May. I was very disappointed because the other rugs arrived together. The corners of this rug do not lay flat, but curl up. This is probably due to the workmanship. I feel I have no choice but to keep it because of the hassle of trying to rewrap it in shrinkwrap to send it back. Will not order again."

"I rated this rug high because it's a lovely rug, seems well made, heavy weight, not shedding, was delivered quickly. Unfortunately, I am sending back because I am not satisfied with the large butter yellow border and butter yellow throughout the rub. Prior to shipment I inquired on the colors for the brick/rust rug. I was not told about this color. If those are your colors the rug is lovely. Unfortunately the yellow is not my color. The brick is a soft shade, very pretty. The design is lovely. The size was perfect 8.3X11. I think HD has great rugs for the price."

"The online photo and description doesn't do this rug justice. It's so much prettier in person. I really hesiated about making the purchase. The background is a rich burnt orange spice color. The border is a lovely light gold/tan. The size is perfect under a table, the chairs can be pulled back without hanging off the rug. The overall design is much nicer than shown. The weight is substantial. I do think HD needs to do a better job with their color desciptions because I almost passed this up due to lack of details. I took a chance and am glad I did."

"I took me hours to find just the right rug to go with all of my linen furniture and French Antiques. I am so picky about quality and already returned 2 rugs back to HDC. I tried to cancel this order because I was sure I wouldn't like it and when it arrived what a sigh of relief! It's so gorgeous. I ordered it in blue and it is just what the photo depicts. It sits in my dining room under a rustic farmhouse table and cream handcarved French wood chairs. Just stunning."

"I have a mudroom that is high traffic and needed a rug to help catch snow dirt etc. The problem is that my house is very light with cool colors (white cabinets, gray, sage walls and my floors are black slate and dark hardwood) I couldn't go too dark, but needed something light enough to go with the decor that wouldn't show every bit of dirt. I'm so glad I read the reviews, otherwise I would have never thought the color would work. It's perfect. The blue is a very cool gray blue and the pattern is just enough to disguise the dirt, not to mention I love wool, it vacuums up beautifully. There is some piling, but I suspect that because it's new, and it will be fine."

"I have the blue rug in the 5 x 8. (The actual width is 1 inch wider and the length is 1 inch shorter.) I painted my room the blue color and according to the paint chips, this blue leans toward green on the color chart. It would look nice with other blues, as well as aquas. Other colors in the rug include dark and light rust, celery green, light & dark tans or bieges, and black. It coordinates beautifully with my cherry wood office furniture and my hardwood floors. I've only had the rug down a couple of days, so I can't attest to the wear, but it appears to be a good quality rug."
