Great Bed but....

"Although this bed is beautiful it was not in anyway made to fit a standard king size mattress. There was at least a four inch gap from the footboard to the mattress and a 3 inch gap from the sideboard to the mattress. Very hard to find appropriate bedding...I actually had to return the set I bought just for this bed. What I did was push the bed forward so the gap is only showing at the end of the bed where I sleep. I checked the box and my receipt and both state King size.....not that I would say this bed was made for a California King because I don't think even that would fit this bed. And of course after you assemble it you are not going to take it apart and send it back! I made it work. I just had to alter the type of bedding I wanted....and it actually looks quite beautiful. But to my husband and I, the huge gap is very noticeable."

"Bed was pretty easy to assemble by myself but would have been easy with 2 people. The only complaint I have is that there is too much of the support rails exposed- I bought a king mattress and if I push it to one side, there is about a 4 inch area of the supports which show."

"Assembly - easy. The look - elegant. It is a little bigger than the king mattress but I'm thinking that's so you can tuck in your comforters, etc., and show off that beautiful upholstered leather. Love it!"

"We bought this bed for my 11 year old daughter and she loves it. This bed is transitioning her to "big girl". Assembly was pretty easy and didn't take too long."

"Even though the fit isn't that great, this bed is AMAZING! We have a king sized mattress, but the St. Lucia king sized frame was still a little too big for the mattress. The ordering was easy, the shipping was on time and the delivery person was extremely efficient!"

"We purchased this bed in the full size and not only is this beautiful and elegant but we were so surprised at the easy assembly. This bed is very modern and sleek looking. We couldn't believe that it only requires a mattress and NOT a box spring. Definitely worth the price but shipping is very expensive!"
