"I have ordered several pieces of the RTA mission furniture and have been generally satisfied. This new addition to he line is a definite decrease in quality. It appears that a different manufacturer/factory is being used, and this is not a good thing in this case. The finish, although called by the same name as the rest of my pieces, is much darker than them. The fasteners provided are of lesser quality than the ones provided in my previous pieces; the cam/peg locks are made of a very soft grade of metal and strip out easily. I had some left over from the other pieces and was able to compare them. The dowels provided are too large for the holes they are meant for, necessitating a trip to the hardware store for the appropriate size dowels (you need 5/16, not 3/8). No glue was provided for them, either. Glue had been provided for the previous pieces. Installing the casters was difficult. Once I had it together, it is fine for what I use it for, but I probably won't buy anything from this line again."

"I bought this desk to replace a small table my kids were using for computer work. It was fairly easy to put together, and looks great in the room (our living room, which has informal decor). The kids love it. We did not attach the casters to make the desk a little shorter for the kids, but will add them back as they grow. The only minor complaint is the screw-hole covers are somewhat visible, and they don't blend in (we got the chestnut finish). But they are on the bottom of the desk and it's in a dark corner, so you don't really notice them that much."

"The desk is sturdy and a good fit for a small space. However, I was extremely disappointed when the finish began to wear off within just a few days. I don't know if this problem is unique to the darker finish or not- but I would not recommend buying this."
