"Poor quality materials. While putting it together, some of the wood started to break. The shelves bow and the drawer doesn't close all the way."

"I bought this because it was on clearance, and I'm certainly glad I didn't pay more for it. One side panel was already breaking so I had to order a replacement (free, thank goodness). The other side is now splintering, and so is one of the shelves. The shelves bow, and I have had to replace several of the plastic supports underneath. The drawer does not fully close anymore, so there must be bowing elsewhere, as well. It was difficult to assemble because the pieces do not hold their shape, and the hardware didn't keep things aligned. The color is more orange than was pictured."

I have owned this product for: a month
Cheap, cheap, cheap
Date:May 28, 2009
"The products used in this bookshelf are very cheap. I had to reinforce the bottom of the drawer because the piece used for the drawer bottom is about 1/16 inch thick and I intended to actually use the drawer for storage. I bought wooden slats at the local building supply and screwed them in under the bottom panel of the drawer. Also the sides of the bookshelf are so thin, that they bow out to the side if you actually put any books (weight) on the shelf - thus the shelf falls off of its little plastic supports and the books all come tumbling down (at 3 AM) with a crash. I had to screw the side of the bookshelf directly to the shelves (making the shelves non-adjustable) in order to keep the thing upright. The only reason I didn't return this cheap thing is because I paid over $100.00 in shipping to get it to my house."

"Directions:
This item was literally IMPOSSIBLE to assemble using the directions that came with it.
I have put together microwave carts and computer desks with sliding shelves and drawers. I have NEVER seen the likes of anything like this before!!!
Quality:
I believe that the bottom of the drawer will eventually fall down and will have to take my own repair precautions so that does not happen.
Value: Not worth the price
Appearance and fuctionality:
The only reasons I choose to keep it.
