Attractive and Casual But Not High Contrast

"I got this rug as a statement piece for my office. Since the walls are poppy red, I wasn't scared off by other reviews that said this was a fairly neutral-colored rug. I do like it and think it goes well with the office but would love it even more if the light part of the pattern was lighter (like off-white) and the dark was darker (like almost black).
The quality is ok but I would definitely rank this as a "casual" as opposed to "fancy" rug. If I had seen it first in a store, I probably would have chosen something else. But I am keeping it and I do think it works just fine in the room."

"This rug is absolutely beautiful! It has a very high quality look and feel. The description does leave a few things out like others have mentioned. The pile is multidimensional with the brown stripes low and the neutral is a higher pile. The stripes are two toned with brown and black or espresso. The neutral pile is also two toned and is oatmeal and sand. This mixture of colors only adds to the depth of this great purchase.
I had previously bought a rug from another online retailer and it looked cheap so I sent it back. This looks like a million bucks. I am doing my study in a vintage look with a timeworn wood floor and distressed black furniture. I ordered the 8' round for the middle of the room and wanted something neutral to add some interest and this was perfect! I had a slight shading issue when it was delivered and a call to Home Decorators solved the problem in less then 2 minutes! They were great to work with and after this experience they will be the first online home decor site I come to! As for the shedding I haven't seen anything I can't live with I vacuum regulary and it will leave a lot of wool in the canister but I don't have a lot shedding on the floor. Don't hesitate if your considering this rug...order today! I received mine on the 5th day after I ordered it so very prompt with the shipping!"

Beautiful rug

"This rug is absolutely beautiful. The colors are just what I was looking for. The light area is an oatmeal color. It has lighter creamier fibers interwoven with a little darker fibers. The darker area is a combo of chocolate brown fibers interwoven with black fibers. The blending is perfect and the result is a depth of color all over. There is a height difference between the light and dark areas. The dark areas sit a little lower. To me this adds richness to the coloring effect although it did take a few days to get used to it. The only downside is that it sheds. But I have two other wool rugs and they shed too for awhile. It eventually stops."

Great but 2 things you should know!!!

"I love the rug. But, it is not a "creamy white" as described by other reviews. I would describe the lighter color as "oatmeal" - it incorporates two tones of beige wool fibers. And, it is not mentioned in the description but the rug has two levels of pile - the lighter color is significantly higher than the dark brown part. I probably still would have ordered the rug but I wish I had known. I am still getting used to the unlevel surface under my feet."

"The colors are beautiful- a creamy white with brown stripes. It's a nice thickness, my dog has made it his new spot to rest. I have only had it for a week so I can't say how it will do with wear over time, but at the moment I am very pleased!"
