"This carpet is beautiful. When it arrived it appeared exactly as pictured. I had hesitated to buy it because of a few bad reviews. Those reviewers were correct. The carpet did shed for a couple of months. Now it is pilling in areas. It is in a low traffic area that gets vacuumed once a week. I've had this rug for just over a year and it looks so shabby it is embarrassing. What a waste of hundreds of dollars! It will be going to the laundry area of the basement as soon as I find a replacement."

You get what you pay for with this rug

"We purchased this rug because we liked the patter, in received good reviews and the prices was great for a wool rug. Our only hesitancy was the color. As several reviews stated, the color is more of a brown and not so much an organge. The reason we're writing this review, however, is not because of the color, but because of the quality, which turned out to be rather poor. Almost immediately after purchase, the rug started shedding. We waited and observed, thinking it would end after a few months. Well, the shedding did end and now the rug is pilling. If you try to remove the pilling fibers, it pulls the entire carpet strand out. So, if we removed all the pilling fibers, the carpet would be half bald. We are now left with a pilling carpet that just looks bad, plain and simple. I hate to say it, but in this instance, you definitely get what you paid for. Typically wool carpets are very pricey, but this one was cheap - cheap in price and in quality. If you are looking for nice quality rug - this is not the one to get."

"I took a chance ordering from Internet without seeing up close and touching. Others' reviews were very helpful in taking this risk. The rug is just like the photo. I got the 7 ft. round terracotta, and it's all I expected -- maybe even more so. I have no reservations in recommending this rug. I was expecting to have lots of "fluff"--but pleasantly surprised that it isn't shedding. The only drawback? my cat and dog love it!"

"It's a nice rug, but I was dissappointed in the color and the quality. The colors were muted and not as vivid as seen in the online photo. As for quality, the rug is constantly pilling. I was told that excessive pilling is a result of the quality of the wool fiber used, and the durability of the construction method used to “weave” the rug."

"This rug is a little browner than the picture, but that has already been commented on by other reviewers . I chose to get it anyway and I love the way it looks. I decided that the 5'9" rug in my kitchen nook was too small, so I have sent it back to get the larger 7'9" rug. Can't wait until it gets here!"
