"This is a great rug for the price. Not as thick and dense as a more expensive rug, but it looks like good quality, with rich colors and intricate traditional design. The deep reds add a touch of luxury at our front door, but at the price we won't mind visitors' shoes on it."

"We just received this rug and are generally very pleased with it. It's not as thick as a wool rug but with a good carpet pad underneath it feels very cushy. It appears a little brighter than in the photo but still the colors are not too intense; more on the muted side. It's a very nice rug for the price."

"I purchased this synthetic rug to replace a wool rug that my dog destroyed with scratching. I was worried that it would look cheap compared to wool but it looks great and feels great underfoot. The colors are very accurate to the picture. I did not have any trouble with the rug laying flat - within a couple of days it had no curl at all. Although I was told that delivery would be delayed, the rug actually shipped on time. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase!"

"As a mom to three boys I needed an area rug that looked great in my new home, would stand up to all manner of abuse, and yet not break the bank. This rug looks great!! Colors are muted, looks great on my dark hardwood floors. Took a few days and a few bricks to get the corners to lay down, but that was expected. I was a great value, with a whole house to pull together I couldn't spend alot on any one thing but didn't want anyone to know that."

Perfect for the Kitchen

"I bought a Bijar runner for the kitchen. The colors are muted, which works perfectly in this location. The traditional oriental design, with lots of tiny color elements, is excellent for hiding spills. There's no need to treat this rug like it's delicate -- and we don't. The pile is much better and thicker than it looks. It is amazingly comfortable under foot, even without a pad. It's even better than those foam mats from BedBath, which up to now I always used in the kitchen so my legs wouldn't get tired. I wanted to cover more of the floor than those little mats do, which is why I looked into runners. Two caveats: 1. The dyes looked a little streaky at first. For example, I thought there was a vague brown stripe across the rug where they shouldn't be. I got used to it, however, or maybe it was temporary. 2. The rug takes a long time to lie flat. I left it upside down with lots of heavy books on the ends for a couple of weeks. Then I started using it although the ends weren't flat. After a week or two, I tried rolling the ends and the corners toward the floor, gently and only for a few seconds. That, and time, seems to have solved the problem. Bottom line: Now that the rug isn't a tripping hazard, and I've found it to be very comfortable for long hours in the kitchen, I'm ordering two more."
