"I was looking forward to receiving my rug, after reading prior reviews. It is a plush, comfy rug that we put under our bed that does not require a pad as its fairly thick. Prior reviews said that that the blue was a blue-gray which I was expecting, but I think it's much more of a gray with a hint of blue, still very nice though and great quality."

"I am drawn to this rug every time I look at the catalog. So when I finally decided to order it, I couldn't wait for it to arrive. However, I was very disappointed to find that the color is not as depicted but rather a blue and brown combo that is so often found in decorating today. Still a nice rug for someone who is looking for those colors."

"This is a well made rug with nice colors and a terrific feel under foot. We got the blue version, and as others mention, it is more of a blue-grey than anything else. But it is a plesant color and the contrast with the brown works in the area we used it. Spectacular packaging and prompt deliver. Very easy transaction."

"The color is not true to the picture. The blue is alot darker, more like a slate blue and the detailing is more like a chocolate brown. It does shed a bit but is soft. I like it despite the color, still goes well with my living room"

"I've purchased several rugs from Home Decorators. And have been extremely pleased with each and every one. This purchase was no different. I have both the large round and 14' runner Tempo in red. The colors are true to the picture. The rugs are thick and don't shed much. I'm sure I'll be purchasing more rugs from Home Decorators in the future."

"I've gotten many compliments on the rug since I've laid it out in the living room. The only problem I have with it is that it sheds more then any animal I could ever own. No matter how much I vacuum I find red fuzz all over my house later that day and ever more then next day. Even in rooms that aren't even close to the living room. Is my rug going bald?"

"We purchased the blue rug with brown accents. The brown is a chocolate brown, a little darker than the picture. The blue is true to the photo, with a grayish cast. Some shedding has occurred but it's not a big deal. Good quality. We like it."

Beautiful Rug - Poor Color Description

"I purchased this rug to go with a blue/green color scheme as the catalog and website picture illustrate. The rug is gorgeous, but is definitely not the light blue/green color as shown in the pictures. It is MUCH darker, and almost has a khaki look to it. I'm trying to work with it, as it is a nice rug and costs too much to return, but I was disappointed with the color."

"I ordered the blue rug. Based on the picture I thought it would be a light blue/sky blue/almost silvery blue with a light brown/taupe design. I would say it is a medium blue color with medium brown for the pattern. This isn't a bad thing, it just doesn't match my drapes exactly, but still works in my bedroom. It is a very heavy rug (I got the 8 x11) - it seems to be substantial and high quality."

"I’ll get straight to the point. My wife loved this rug online, she thought the color was going to match everything in our living room. When the rug arrived the color was much darker than the one in the picture. We weren’t sure if we should return it. It took us about a week to decide for us to keep it because we paid $52 to ship it and another $52 to ship back would be too much money wasted. So if you want the color depicted online do buy it its darker. On the other hand if you are worried its too light and might get dirty too easily then buy it. We eat in the living room so I just told my wife we are probably better off with it being darker in color just incase we drop wine or food on it. The rug is made in India. Hope this helps."

I just got my blue one as well, only 7 days after this (niko's) review is posted. I agree 100%...the color is almost a dark slate blue, almost grey. So disappointing. I think it's the dye lot, b/c I've seen 3 photos, including from one reviewer here and all look lighter. I was shocked. Am debating what to do; this is for my (a lady's) office, and the color looks very masculine to me.

"I'd looked at this rug for months on line and loved it. But was hesitant to order it because I didn't think the color would look good in my house and I didn't love the nuetral tan and brown one quite as much as the blue. I eventually found the "Steel Arc Wall Art set of 3" and thought the rug and wall art would be the perfect pair in my living room. The rug was a little more than I wanted to spend. But you get what you pay for when it comes to rugs. This rug is good quality and adds just enough style and color. It shed a little at first but thats pretty common with wool rugs. I love love love the new look of my living room!"

"I hesitate to purchase rugs online or in catalogs. Unfortunately, the in store selection is not where it needs to be where I live. I purchased this rug with my fingers crossed. No need. Quality wise, it is plush, edges clean, and does not shed too badly compared to other wool rugs I have purchased in the past. The design fit well with my room, nice transitional piece. If you are hesitating, don't. You will be happy with this rug."
