Looks very nice Date: November 8, 2009
"I purchased this as a trash receptacle for my kitchen. It was billed as hamper or trash receptacle. It is more ideal for a hamper ( a very small hamper) with the accompanying cloth bag attached by velcro. However, I had to improvise with clamps to hold a plastic trash bag in place. Before that, it kept slipping off as the bag got heavier. It does look very nice in the kitchen and is a big improvement over plastic receptacles."

"I love the piece. The hamper itself was much smaller than expected. my daughter uses it and can only get three days worth of cloths in it. But it's very cute and goes in my newly remodeled bathroom very well."

"The dimensions listed are not the actual dimensions I recieved. This hamper is much smaller. I can fit maybe 3 towels in one compartment, and maybe three shirts with one pair of shorts per container. I recieved mine scratched and dented!"

Particle board Date: July 23, 2009
"Disappointed that construction was basically particle board and not regular wood which makes the item very heavy, and probably lest durable over the long term.

Internal metal straps to ease the opening of the drop door caused the door to stick. I removed them altogether.

The item looks good and I chose not to return it. A previous hamper that I bought years ago from Home Decorators was all wood (mostly oak) and required very little assembly.

"Not even close to a value for the price. The size really does not lend itself to a practical hamper or trash.

Product came missing some assembly parts and was not very solid.

This was after taking a long time to arrive.

Would not recommend.

3rd time is not the charm. Date: April 30, 2009
"I have ordered this product twice. The color was supposed to be antique cream, in fact, I have a nother peice in this collection that is antique cream. On the first order, the hamper came in a pukey greenish-gray color. I returned it and received a brownish color. You could see the green underneath as if they took it to a garage and tried to cover the green. I returned it as well. On my second order I waited 4 months while it was on backorder. I assumed they were taking so long that they would get the color right. Wrong again. It came a yellow-grayish color. Is the manufacterer of this color blind? Home Decorators did give me a $40 discount to keep it. I will paint it myself."

Mediocre Date: April 23, 2009
"Unit typical import quality. It took two licensed residential building contractors, working steady, with cordless screwdrivers, one hour to assemble. Note: screws that hold "schrapnel" (their word) to beaded sides are too long and will leave a "pimple" on the exterior. Use small washer with screws. A few extra parts. Directions clear. All in all not bad but will be tough for the complete neophyte."

WOULDN'T WASTE THE MONEY Date: April 22, 2009
"This item is cute in the picture and on line but it is so tiny, the bins are soo small it is ridiculous. Then to top it off they didn't send us all the appropriate items to assemble it like the instructions called for. So my husband had to compromise and use some stuff from the garage. I have to take some of the fault because the magazine does give measurements, but it would have been nice to have the measurements of the actual laundry bins. Now having it all assembled and in use I can see it may hold one to two outfits per bin, completely worthless!"

not what I thought Date: February 3, 2009
"I don't want to write a totally negative review of this item but... I am returning it even though that will probably cost me a lot of money. I got about 3/4 of the way with the assembly and realized it is just not going to work for me. The bins are way too small for our big family - my husband joked that we would probably only get a towel and two socks in each bin. Assembly was a bit difficult. I've put together ALOT of furniture so I know what I'm doing - this was just not that easy. To lay out this kind of money you really need to think twice - learn from my mistake and don't buy this one."

Not for dog food Date: December 23, 2008
"I bought this hamper to hold dog food. It was difficult to assemble. It was not clear which was the back and front for some of the pieces, so I had to take it apart several times. The back was very difficult to put on because it was not pre-drilled. I could not figure out how to out on the brackets so I left them off. We bought this to hold 2 kinds of dog food. When we poured dog food in it and tried to pull out the door, the drawer ripped out of the wood. So it is useless. I ordered Antique White and it is a bilous yellow. I am very disappointed by the quality, directions and color. It is a huge waste of money."

Well constructed Date: December 9, 2008
"I bought this for my son and wife who recently moved into a new home. Their decor is country. They are using it as their trash bin in the kitchen which compliments their black country kitchen table beautifully. I would recomended this to anyone who wishes to have a complete COUNTRY look in their home.
P.S. It hides the trash wonderfully as they have a dog, and now it is no longer visable or a temptation.

Difficult Assembly/Low Quality Date: December 8, 2008
"When I began assembling the hamper, I discovered that the holes were not drilled in the correct places. Therefore, it took me longer to assemble the hamper, and I had to ask a friend to borrow his drill in order to fix the mistakes the company made when they drilled the holes.

The quality of the product was not as I expected. I thought it would be hard-wood, considering the price, and found that it was all pressed board. What a disappointment!

On a more positive note, the measurements reported on Home Decorator's website were accurate, so the hamper fits perfectly in my bathroom. It also adds some charm. I love being able to put a box of tissues and some potpourri on the stand.

Waste of my money Date: October 29, 2008
"I bought this to use as a Garbage can in my kitchen. The size is WAY too small. The dimentions are for the outside of the bin which I figured. However, the inside is so much smaller. Really disapointed. Kept it as shipping is too expensive. Using as a vegetable bin instead."

"I really like the styling, but arrived with some scratches and a few banged-up edges. Most were hidden so it wasnt a big deal. I was disappointed that it is as small as it is. It fills up fairly quickly (only 2 people in my house). I was thinking it was small by the dimensions given. Better option might be several of the larger, single ones. They seem to be taller and will hold more. Depends on your needs. It's fine for what I paid for it, and it looks good where it's sitting. :)"

Not what I expected Date: October 3, 2008
"This has two VERY SMALL bins. Maybe good for a baby, otherwise way too small for a hamper. Definitely too small to work as a trash & recycling bin, which is what I ordered it for. We ended up using it as a stand for my daughter's sewing machine and storing the fabric in the tilt out bins. The bins measure 9"x9" and are not very deep. The description did not state this when I ordered or I would have looked for something else and shipping charges were too much to send it back. I hope this helps keep someone else from making the same mistake that I did. It is a nice looking unit though, just too small."
