"this rug may be more comfortable than my $4000 mattress. in fact, i took pics with my phone of me laying on the rug and sent them out to my girlfriends with the caption "is it odd to love my new rug this much?"
the rug is absolutely beautiful! i cannot wait until my new red sectional arrives for my rug to live in front of. it is soft and, quite honestly, one of the coolest rugs i've seen.
i was looking for the perfect shag rug and i have found it!!!
now we will just have to see how the dog hair vacuums up off of it!!! haha!!!
i also bought the most expensive rug pad to go under it but since i haven't placed the rug yet, haven't used the pad. i bought the most expensive pad to add extra loft to the rug, but to tell the truth, the rug already has so much loft and thickness that i can't imagine that we will be able to tell!"

"I purchased a 5 x 8 rug for under my new couch in my newly decorated living room. The color was perfect. Very dark espresso brown. However, it is sooo thick. I wasn't prepared for that. It is more like a conversation piece because of the unusual thickness. The look is very different also with big tufts and shag threads in between. Very different and you can't tell that part from the picture. It is like 3 inches thick and very heavy, but I was forewarned on that part. You feel like you have to worn your guests not to trip on it. It was so hard to find the right shade of brown so I am keeping it for that reason. It is almost impossible to vacuum. I had to set my vacuum on the highest setting and pull it across one swath at a time and lift it to the other end to start again. My husband calls it the wooley mammoth."

"It's fabulous. Used in the bedroom, it's like stepping on a cloud when you get out of bed in the morning..
Sheds some when new.

"Love, love, love this rug. I'm a fiber spinner (like with a spinning wheel), and with its mix of regular shag and lovely thick tufts of fiber, it reminds me of piles of merino and angora. It's funny -- I saw this rug in a photographer's studio, and I actually had called to ask about where she got it. She had bought it from Craigslist, and she lifted the rug up to look for any labels to pass on the information to me, but she couldn't find any. I gave up trying to find it, and instead figured I'd look on Home Decorators for a regular shag rug, and lo and behold! It's here! The same rug. It's beautifully soft, thick and well made. It's shedding a bit, but not very much. I love it!"

"I bought this rug to define a sitting area. I chose the ivory to contrast colorwise with our pale maple floor. The rug is very thick and the knobby texture is great against the wood. It is still new, so we haven't had any spills, but I can imagine it would be very difficult to clean because of the texture. It is still shedding a LOT, but that is to be expected with wool."

"Wow, this is sinfully luxurious. I rolled it out and my kids and I ran around barefoot for half an hour it was soooo soft. It's much thicker than I thought but I love it. The color is rich and warm and it's a perfect textural complement to our cozy hearth area."

"This is the "ultimate" in rugs! We are using one in our master bath, one in another bath and now ordering one for the boys bedroom. This has to be 3" thick and one of the softest rugs we have ever experienced! The brown is the richest, darkest brown and is just beautiful!"

"i love this rug so far. it is heavy! it is super soft and super plush... your feet just sink in. you hardly need a rug pad (my floors currently are concrete). u gotta eat your wheaties to be able to move it easily. i got it in gray... the yarns are in big clumps with smaller strands throughout (in the pix it looks like the yarns are all about the same, i think). my only problem with iit so far is (i have had it only a week or so) that it did not come with everyday cleaning instructions. i assume a rug dry cleaner should know how to clean it for a yearly or periodic cleaning. it's not clear on how to vacuum it, i think using a conventional vacuum would mess up the yarns. so far so good though"

"Cool rug. It sheds a ton like most rugs in the beginning. Have had it for 3 months and I like it. It has a shine to it too and is very soft, especially with no shoes on. It's a silver gray with huge plugs of fiber (not sure if that is the word) so you don't see the base material at all.
It is HEAVY so you will definitely need at least one other person unless you have a surface you can drag it across. Be sure to buy a pad if you're putting this on a wood floor because the back is heavy duty and could wear away the surface beneath. I bought the 8 x 10'6. Quality product."
