"I was very pleased when I saw this shelf. The iron base gives it a spanish look, allowing it to fit in nicely with my southwestern decor. It is substantial in size and weight giving it a "high end" look, with very nice finishes -- deep and a very rich brown. A real attention getter that brings a touch of elegance to an otherwise insignificant wall."

"The metal portion is fine, but the "wood" is very cheap. For the price, the shelf construction should be on par with the Woodbury wall shelf--but it isn't."

"I purchased 2 of these shelves in November, 2009, for my breakfast room. When they arrived, I was so pleased with the workmanship and beauty, I couldn't decide if I now wanted them in my formal living room instead of the breakfast room.
Situation solved: I ordered two more! They really ARE that nice, and look incredibly well (and distinctly different) in both rooms. I can't wait to put something on the shelf part, which will also differentiate the look of both rooms!"

"I ordered two of these and the first set I received was just plain junk. I had to return them and get another set. The second set is much better but is still very cheaply made. I had to take it a part and fix the screws on the item and the hangers on the back were not level. The only reason I kept it was I liked the design and the size was perfect for what I needed. I fixed it and hung it and love how it looks."

"I had to stuff a cloth in the hollow base in order to level it against the wall, so the arrangement on the shelf would not fall. It is not noticeable. The wall shelf looks very elegant and is stunning."
