"The bookcase came out looking beautiful. All the pieces were in great condition - no knicks or scratches. The only issue I have is the color. I really thought it would be lighter than it is. It is more yellow, with evening light it even takes on a "pea soup" color. I will be painting it. Other than the color, it is a fantastic piece of furniture."

"I needed a small bookcase for a specific spot in an off white color--the bookcase I ordered filled the bill. I must say that my husband is an engineer so putting together furniture is a piece of cake for him and this one did take a couple of hours with my help at the end. Do bear that in mind when two flat boxes arrive at your house containing lots and lots of pieces."

"It took 2 deliveries to receive one that was not damaged. Color is way off from description and pictures. I am glad I waited for the sale, at full price I would not have been happy with quality and workmanship. The recommend to a friend question - only at sale price. Instructions and details could be improved. Delivery was fast, communication not great. never notified second delivery was on the way."

"I ordered 3 pieces of furniture. We were only able to assemble one due to the poor workmanship of the pieces. On the bookshelf the holes were drilled the wrong size on one of the side pieces & now that piece is not available until January. On the end table the holes were drilled in the wrong places on the front piece to the drawer. So now I have unassembled furniture pieces piled in my living room for the holidays. This was my first order with Home Decorators and may be my last due to this situation."

Actual item is much darker
"The French Country images for the "Sage" bookcase was what I had hoped the piece would look like. I was significantly dissappointed when it arrived and was a dark olive color. I have spent the last week repainting and staining the piece to look more like the picture. It is a nice enough piece of furniture, but I would have chosen something else had te picture been more accurate."
