Green rhymes with cream

"We ordered this unit for our Dr's office. The picture online displays beautiful cream colored shelving with a great looking stained wood top. Pro: Great service. Quick shipping. Con: It's not cream at all. The color (as others here have noted) is green. I could understand a little variance from the photo, but we're talking 2 totally different colors. It should be advertised as Chartreuse in color. There were also lots of scratches on the wood finish top. Thankfully they were underneath and in the back. The unit is exactly what I wanted, and instead of fooling with sending it back (200 pounds worth), I just painted it the cream color that I wanted."

"I was disappointed at the "greenish" color when I ordered the antique white - I expected more of a "yellowish" color. However, I love green so it works for me. Also I was disappointed that the drawers of this bookcase were not furnished with the metal drawer gliders (like the file cabinet product I purchased) but had the wood groved kind. Just follow directions and assembly is very easy. All pieces are clearly marked. I also appreciate the hardware to attach to the wall to prevent tipping."

Confusing parts & directions

"It was very hard for my husband and I to put this bookcase together. The directions were minimal and it was't clear which was the top or bottom of some pieces. This added rework and some drilling to make things fit. The pegs for the bookcases themselves didn't fit and we had to purchase a different kind. Although the finished product looks fine, I would not purchase this again."

"One year ago, I purchased this exact bookshelf. Due to an ever growing book collection, I purchased a second one and received it two weeks ago. Unfortunately, they have made a change to the product.
The first bookshelf had drawers that ran along a sliding metal rail mechanism. They have removed the smooth operating hardware and now the two drawers just slide on a cheap wooden rail that is tacked on the sides...actually I should say they DONT slide. If you are purchasing the bookcase solely as a bookcase, everything will be fine. If you want to have a shelf with functioning drawers, get something else. The drawers just don't work without a major struggle. And if you place anything with weight in the drawers, you will have a nearly impossible time opening them as the wood on wood friction almost acts like glue.
It's disappointing that Home Decorators would increase the price of this product while decreasing the quality."
