"I bought a brass shelf for my shower several years ago and although it states that it's "solid" brass I don't believe it is. It has lost it's color in some places where the shampoo sits. But overall it's very nice looking and looks expensive in comparison to something you would pick up at Target or Walmart."

"Design is excellent except for the way the pieces screw together. The hollow support poles screw into each other, going through holes in the basket shelves. Unfortunately, they do not screw in for a tight, perfect fit because the threading is too short. There are gaps between the joining areas. In addition, the poles that are pre-threaded with screws did not match up with assembly diagram. There were also missing screws. Fortunately, I had some of the correct type and size in my shop. Could have been fabulous but the gaps are annoying. I'll have to purchase screws and re-do whole thing."
