Love your Rugs...But have a concern!

"I ordered four of your Rugs...large round. I absolutely love the thickness, texture, colors of your rugs. However now since having them in the room for a few weeks they keep shedding really bad. Is this something all your rugs do or is this something that will stop after a couple times of vacuuming them? So that is the only reason I am giving a four for workmanship & value."

"I ordered the Optic Rug in the beige color. I first ordered a 2x3 to see the design and confirm the color. I needed a neutral color and got exactly what I was hoping for. The colors in the rug vary from very light beige to light mushroom (darker greyish beige) color. My couch in the room is neutral beige and my chairs are mushroom looking (brownish grey color). The rug seemed to bring everything together and the design adds elegance and a modern feel to the room.
I liked it so much that I ordered the 11x15 size. The rug is even more beautiful in person and the larger size looked even better than the smaller one. I have the rug now for several months. It is holding really nice. The quality is great and it does not shed. I noticed shedding only once when a friend was wearing snickers and kept shuffling his feet on the rug for long time. Once vaccummed, the rug looked as good as new.
I would definetely consider purchasing additional rugs from Home Decorators."

"I am over all pleased with the purchase. I do want to mention that the low lights within the rug are deeper than I had perceived in the photo, like a taupe (in the ivory color) and as other reviewers had mentioned, it is more challenging to clean and vacuum due to the 3D texture."

"The runner, in beige, very closely matches what you see online. Perfect colors for my needs. As other reviews have commented, it does shed a lot. I assume that will abate over time with lots of vacuuming."

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the look and feel of this rug which we have in the living room of our Florida condo BUT OH MY GOODNESS does it ever shed! I get up ever single morning and vacuum under all the furniture and the fibers coat everything! Lots of extra work.....not sure if it is worth the hassle....will be complaining if this keeps up after 6 months!

"I bought the beige runners and 5.3" x 8" rug in November 2010. They look absolutely amazing in the master bedroom with chocolate walls. They do shed so be sure to vacuum them often. I've come to find that they spot clean very well. I am VERY happy with my purchase."

"I looked at this Optics run in the catelog for probably a year. I wondered if the color would be exactly what I was seeing, or just slightly different. I purchased two of the beige rugs for my kitchen. I have cream colored cabinets, off-white tile with a milk chocolate grout, and new granite countertops with a cream color and black, brown, silver natural splahes and the blending is absolutely even more than I had dreamed it would be! Wonderful!
I put the red in the bedroom...it is a wonderful touch ...... has varying shades of dark red, which was perfect with my cherry red throw pillows on the bed. Wish I had ordered it sooner, and didn't take so long to decide!!"

"I purchased the beige color and I am not disappointed. The quality is wonderful, hardly any shedding and the thickness is great! I was very impressed with the delivery people. The rug arrived faster than orginally noted and the "in home delivery" was great. I had all the funiture moved and marked the hardwood floor with tape so when they arrived I asked if they would lay the rug in the marked area so I could unpack it and roll it out. Within a few minutes I vaccumed and replaced the sofa etc and was able to admire my purchase. I've purchased many area rugs in my lifetime and this one is one of the best and the price was terrific."

"I am not one to write reviews let alone take pictures, but felt I needed to on this one. First, I looked at this rug for 9 months before taking the plunge because of the price; I was uncomfortable buying something without touching/seeing it. Second, I read every review probably 2-3 times and almost didn't buy because of the shedding problem that folks were talking about. Third, I was terrified the color was going to be off.
So here we are, the walls are painted, the furniture in in, and the rug arrives. We roll it out and couldn't have been happier. It is simply stunning. It is a conversation piece, everyone who sees it asks about our new rug. We were going for a new modern feel, and this pulled it all together. The color was "perfect" --- I sincerely couldn't have asked for more (in fact better than I imagined). We experienced an odor for 2-3 days, but it quickly passed. The best part is, we have had ZERO shedding. I am not sure why, but feel pretty lucky. I remember cracking up when I read the review from the person who said their home looked like an alpaca lived in it, and was very concerned.
The pictures below speak for themselves. I want to thank everyone who took pictures and posted them because it helped me make my buying decision.

"We've had this rug in our living room for over two years. We loved it at first. It's unique and eye-catching. We vacuum cleaned it (and still do) twice a week to stop the sheding in 3-6 months like they said in the product details...IT STILL SHEDS like crazy!!! Our hardwood floors, our leather couches are covered with the fibers as if we have a dog or two.... ((( If we want to sit on the rug or even near it, the fibers stay on the socks and clothes and even hair! We are so disappointed, it's a waste of money considering all the efforts wee put into cleaning it and getting rid of all the wool fibers out of our floors and furniture."

"I like the rug but the one I received was actually not the pattern it showed on the internet. It did have the same name "Optics" and it was nice enough so I just kept it.
The overall quality of the rug is wonderful! Nice and thick and the 3D effect of the design is the perfect touch."
