"I ordered this as a holiday gift for a person who wanted one for years. The kitchen is now complete. The coloring is perfect and serves as a great accent.
Product detail and quality is top notch. The only assembly is two small screws for chalkboard handles."

"I have been looking for this item for over a year and happened to Google it and find your company. I was THRILLED to find this gift for my son-in-law as he wants to take mine home with him.

"This guy is very well done. He is a large scale and makes a big statement in my kitchen. Since he is so large I recommend he be placed on an island so he can be viewed from all angles -he is darling from all angles. His expression is priceless and will tickle your guests:) I do agree with other reviews that the chalkboard in not the same great quality that the pig is. I will repaint it with better and darker chalkboard paint that is very easy to do. If you don't want to leave messages/menus, just don't put the board in his hands. I feel the photo is very accurate for this product except for the chalkboard. Mine is mid-grey not dark black. I would absolutely buy him again!"

"The Pastry chef pig was very cute and true to the picture. However, the chalkboard was very cheaply made and it actually already cracked. For the price paid, the chalkboard should have been better quality."

"I bought this for a friend who collects pigs and it is perfect for her black and white kitchen. The only con is that the chalkboard is a grayboard and not black and the frame was an awful green...I painted it black."

"This pig is good quality with lots of personality and subtle coloring. The only disappointment is that the blackboard is totally separate with no obvious way of attaching it to the pig. After reading the reviews I have contacted customer service for a new chalkboard. Also, the board surface is gray rather than black, so messages are harder to read from a distance.
In spite of the problems, we love our pig!"

Great Accent piece for your country kitchen

Love everything about this guy. He is ginormous. Didn't expect him to be so pig. He has a chalky feel to him. Which makes it seem that he is more expensive than he is. The only thing I didn't like, is that the chalkboard is really hard to write on. It's more of a gray color chalkboard. I was thinking of painting it black and using white paint to write something permanent. Also the chalkboard is not attached to him. There are no hooks or screws (as pictured) to secure the board to him. His two hands are bent with small holes in them, almost as if you can place a wooden spoon in them. Other than that, very happy with my purchase.

"I love this item. However, I believe the chalkboard could use some improvement. When I originally received the item, the chalkboard was missing the handles so the pig could hold it. Plus, the wood trim around the chalkboard had a green tint to it. A few days after a very pleasant phone call with a customer service rep regarding the missing handles, I received another chalkboard with handles. However, the second chalkboard had even MORE green discoloration on the wood and it was splotchy at best. I have had to whitewash the wooden trim of the chalkboard. Overall, I LOVE the pig."

"My husband and I are very pleased with this product. We have placed this adorable chef pig on one side of our kitchen bar. He is there for our children to leave messages for us when they visit, or to announce the meal for the evening. The pleasing artistic details keep this item from falling into lesser categories of garish or cartoonish. The only assembly takes a phillips screwdriver to attach the blackboard to two small sticks that slip into the hands."

"We love our new pig accessory for the kitchen. The kids are even taking turns writing the dinner menu on the chalkboard. He's a great accent to our kitchen and I'm sure will be part of our family for many, many years. We even named him "Pierre"!!!"
