"I really like the clean, sophisticated look and functionality of this bookcase. I ordered mine in dark cherry and the color is warm and beautiful. The workmanship was not as great as other products I've purchased from Home Decorators - the front bottom rail was a tiny bit short, but I'm not sure anyone would notice if they didn't know. Also, one of the doors doesn't line up quite right with the others. Again, perhaps something only I will notice. The pieces did have a couple little nicks and scratches upon arrival. Overall, it was quite easy to assemble. However, I gave a moderate rating under assembly because the directions were rather challenging. Definitely take time to put thought into it as you assemble and MAKE SURE your pieces are oriented correctly as per the pictures. Otherwise you could end up assembling it more than once. The instructions say it takes two to assemble, but I did it myself no problem - took about 5 hours. Aside from the couple flaws I already mentioned, this is a great bookcase. Perfect size, and I love having the cabinets down below for storing things. Very sturdy as well, with nice detail."
