Lovely and solid, but not without flaws

"Now that the unit is fully assembled and loaded, I do really like it. The extra storage area beneath the fixed shelf is wonderful, and the over-all look of the piece is beautiful.
Please note that your side panels may have more "give" to them than you are accustomed to in kit furniture, and that there may be imperfections that allow for partial gaps even when cam locks are fully tightened. Also, you may find that the magnetic catches are not powerful enough to keep the doors tightly closed. I had to install two additional catches, elsewhere on the panels, to get the doors to close.
That said, the over-all integrity of the piece is good. I have no concerns about its ability to hold the weight of an older wide-screen TV that literally fills the top shelf from front to back with only .75" of playing room. The fact that the fixed shelf is reinforced at the front and the back and connects to the side panels in multiple places in two ways (dowels as well as cam locks) alleviates any concerns I might otherwise have."
