"I recently purchased the sliding media cabinet and thought this would be a complement and nice match. So far so good. My heavy 37" CRT TV does sag the wood ever so slightly, however. The overall appearance though is very nice. I think a flat screen would look and work better."

"A great piece of furniture, with the worst assembly instructions I have ever seen, and no assembly hot line help available on nights and weekends. Who takes the day off of work to assemble a tv stand? The instructions were almost more of a hindrance than a help, since they mentioned parts (in the very first step) that don't exist, and clearly show pins and screws going in the wrong holes. And not even a clear picture of the finished product. Once we threw the directions away and gave up on the support line, we were able to assemble it, but it took about 7 hours to do it. We finally got a call back from the support line a couple of days later ("oh, those nuts that are mentioned in the first step... they don't exist. Proceed without them"). Now that it's assembled, we have a very nice pice of furniture that adds to the decor of our home, although it's not wide enough to function for it's apparent use as a tv stand/home theater center. It holds the tv nicely, but has room for no more than two components. It couldn't have been more difficult to assemble(it was as if the instructions were written in some other country, by someone who had never seen the tv stand), and it would be nice to have assembly support available during the hours people actually assemble these thing. (meaning NOT when they have to be at work). I was very disappointed to realize it was designed just two inches too short to hold components in the side shelves as well as in the center. It seems like that's what it's designed for, but as it is it only holds two components. So we had to make a choice and keep the cable box and the receiver, until we think of something else, we can't use our cd player, dvd player, tape player, or turntable.Or else stand them on end, which doesn't work so well. Two inched wider, that's all it would have taken, and then it would have functioned for its apparent use. So, while it's made of solid wood and looks very nice, there are some serious lapses in thinking design and a complete failure in providing accurate assembly instructions, as well as in in providing customer assistance help with assembly. We're left scratching our heads on how to incorporate the rest of our home theater components. We can't even watch dvds through our new tv at this point."
