"This case is well made and easy to put together (took one hour). I was surprised how sturdy it is when put together. A store is selling this piece in town for much more money, exact piece, so I feel I have a bargin. Beautiful wood. Redder looking than I thought but ended up working well in the room. One window came broken but Home Decorators sent another one without any problems. Very pleased with how elegant this looks!"

"Very nice piece of furniture. We've been looking for a Barrister Bookcase for years. This one is the perfect size fits under the light switch. Looks great and easy to assemble. Went shopping for different knobs besides brass. Couldn't find any as small as we needed, so spray painted the brass ones to be black. Would be nice if 2 sets of knobs were included in different finishes."

"The Barrister bookcase is an attractive addition to my office. Although the color was not an exact match, it adds a professional touch to my workspace.
Directions could have been more clear, but my husband was able to assemble it in no time. There was a place with no stain, but I was able to touch this up. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase."

"I purchased two of these to surround my fireplace. They are lovely. I have collectables on the first shelf and books on the bottom. Recently installed small lights inside of the top bookcase to show off collectables. Looks wonderful."

"I was looking for (2) matching barrister bookcases for my parlor. I read alot and wanted to get them off the windowsill. I have looked for 3 years. I went online and found these Mahogany ones.......FANTASTIC. They actually look very nice in my parlor with my other antiques. They are very sturdy and beautiful! I am so glad I went online and looked! The assembly was quite easy....just a phillips screw driver! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! SOLID WOOD! I also had to call had a broken piece (C) and it was shipped quite quickly and now they are together flanking my fireplace! THANKS! I did not take a pic yet....but will soon!"

"These units look great, although there were a few hiccoughs in assembly. No wood caps for covering the screw holes (on their way, supposedly, though with no part number not sure what will arrive.) The metal hole inserts were also plugged with debris and we had to literally drill the junk out before we could finish the assembly. Once we were though all of that, though, they turned out pretty well. Nice part is we are able to combine & re-configure with the taller units and actually go ceiling high with these."

"This bookcase is especially a good bargain for being made from hardwood and not composites. My husband assembled it rather quickly and it looks really nice. I had always wanted a barrister bookcase and feel that this one fits the bill at a good price. I've since purchased a desk from Home Decorators Collection and based on pleasant experience with the bookcase, I have confidence that the desk will look/perform to high expectations!"
