"This is a very nice piece of furniture.It is not made of particle board it's actual wood. A little time consuming to put together, but worth it in the end. Very heavy, 2 cartons at 94lbs. each.I had to take the boxes apart and move all the peices separately."

"Beautiful, useful cabinet. Two caveats - as others have mentioned, the dark oak finish is a bit "orangey", striking on it's own but a shade or two off from two craftsman pieces purchased a year or so ago. Was also a bit disappointed to find on a cabinet 19" deep that the drawers are only about 13" deep. Secret compartment anyone?"

"I am so pleased with this Mission-style entertainment bureau. The cost was 1/2 that of the high end wood pieces we shopped for. It came just as promised, packed very neatly and in excellent condition-even though the shipping boxes looked awful. It took my son 2 hours to completely construct. He said the drawers were tricky, but when finished, worked so well and smoothly. He also reflected at how well the pieces fit together, and what a substantial piece of furniture it was. The stain was a bit on the red-orange side, but matched well with my Mission end tables. It holds our 50" plasma TV and all of our DVD's perfectly and securely. I am so glad I picked up a catalog and will consider getting a matching bookcase!"

"Great unit when complete; however, very time consuming-each drawer needs assembly and also all the drawer glides need to go on the drawers and inside the cabinet. One of the drawer heads are peeling (before assembly) and two panels that hold the drawers were two different finishes. The top also had a scratch on it. It looks nice, not sure if it's worth the price I paid."

"The entertainment bureau is a great piece of furniture for a guestroom. The only things I would like to see improved are the center support that attaches to the bottom fo the bureau and the marking of the holes for the drawer glides. The center support is badly designed and pulls the socket right out of the furniture when you try to attach and tighten it. The holes for the drawer glides are very difficult to find. They should be marked in some way. Otherwise it is a great value!"

"The entertainment center arrived quickly once the order was placed. I had asked my Father to help me because I knew it was going to be a job from reading the other reviews. It took us at least 6 hours to assemble. Some of the pictures were not the easiest to understand. And some of the pre-drilled holes had to be made a little bigger so that the screws and drill bits did not get stripped. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. But be prepared for a long day of assembly."

"I read all of the reviews before making this purchase.
I knew from the out set that it would take time to put together.
It really did. !!!
My husband is a (follow the instructions completely) kind of person so there was no rushing him and we took 2 nights to complete it.
I really like the way it turned out. Lots of storage space. ELECTRONIC components are enclosed from little hands.
We were both concerned that it would be wobbly, but after the back was screwed in place it is much sturdier.
There is a "block" to put under the cabinet for support.
It broke off immediately as we turned over the bureau. Poor connectors. We did however wedge it underneath for the extra support.
The color was a little more orangey-red than I expected, but still nice.
I would recommend this for what it claims to be/do.
I will probably purchase another piece from this collection.
I just hope the colors match."

"We really love this piece of furniture. We purchased it to hold a wide screen TV but love that the design allows it to be used for other uses. It looks perfect with both new and antique pieces we have and really tied everything together. A little tedious to assemble but not really difficult. Great value for the money!"

"Looks good. A few scratches from shipping, but not bad. We put most of the drawer sliders on before assembling the cabinet. Some of the parts were mislabeled - verify the up/down arrows by where the drawer slider hardware attaches before assembly. It wasn't that difficult to put together, just time consuming - lots of parts. We got the darker (mackintosh oak) color - no complaints. Looks rich. Heavy, not weak construction. Watch out for depth of cam-lock holes - can warp outer veneer if over-tightened. Overall a good purchase."

"This Entertainment Bureau is a perfect solution for our flat-screen television and audio components. The styling is very appropriate for a craftsman bungalow and the quality is excellent. The drawers really help organize and contain 'home entertainment clutter.' Ordering and shipping was a breeze--everything arrived on-time and without damages. Assembly requires some room but the instructions were clear and the finished product is substantial. Definately a five-star purchase!"

"Good style/design and clever engineering hindered by VERY thin veneer. Light Oak finish appears "orange-ish" to me.
Missing holes in pre-fab were easy for tool collector like myself to remedy. Longterm durability of product is suspect. This unit does not share the high quality/rating of most of the wonderful HDC merchandise I have.
Awesome selection and quick ship will likely keep me returning for more despite unfulfilled expectations this time around."

"Was always updated via email with each shipping stage. My TV console arrived on the date I was told it would and my son and I spent a great day putting the console together.
