"I bought this bench to serve as a window seat, between two matching bookcases from the same collection. It does the trick nicely, but I was a little frustrated with some aspects of the bench. Firstly, It came with a big chip in the top edge in the most conspicuous place possible. I had to fill and color the loss (fortunately I make custom furniture, so I had my own supplies). Secondly, one entire row of holes for the shelf pins were never drilled, so I had to do this too. Thirdly, the doors were notched for the hinges only on top or the bottom, but not both. There was no mention of this in the (crude) directions, so I could only assume that this was another manufacturing error. As a consequence I had to hang the doors three times to find the best orientation so they didn't hang crooked (which they still did anyway). Lastly, the seat cushion is extremely cheap. The foam is more like packing foam. Not what should be used for quality furniture. Also, It has a permanent dent (which hasn't popped out in over a week) from where it was packed against the hardware bag. The ivory cover is pretty inferior as well. I ended up adding 2" of good foam over the whole thing, and re-upholstering it with my own fabric. It looks and sits MUCH better now, but it took a lot of work. Bottom line: It's sturdy, and looks nice but it could be better for the cost."
