"Should've sent it back. Not worth the discounted price. The design for hanging on the wall is horrible. Someone needs to understand that wall studs in the U.S.A. are 16 inches apart on center not 24 inches. As designed it'll pull out of the drywall with a few coats on it. Installation took a couple of hours because of the modifications I had to make. It doesn't look that good but fortunately it's in the mud room. I'm going to replace it down the road."

"The whole coat hanger is just more difficult than I feel a coat rack should be. Once put together - which took more time than I expected (but not impossible) - it still took more time to hang. The parts they gave to hang on the wall were cheap, we had to go out and buy our own screws. Again, not a disaster just a real inconvience."

"PURCHASED PRODUCT BASED ON APPEARANCE IN CATALOG. SEVERAL PIECES WERE MARKED BEFORE THEY WERE REMOVED FROM THE BOX. THE SCREWS HODING THE SIDES AND TOP TOGETHER HELD BUT THE CAPS WERE NOT FLUSH WITH THE SIDES. THE TOP SAGS IN THE MIDDLE BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUPPORT - DEFINITELY A DESIGN ERROR. PRICE WAS REASONABLE -TOO BAD ABOUT THE PRODUCT."

"I opted to buy the antique white and I really should have looked more closely at other items labeled as Antique White because this is basically a very pale yellow. That was complaint number 1 but I was willing to accept my error.
Complaint number 2 is that it was dinged up and didn't look very nice. Maybe this was part of the "antique" feel? Again, I was almost willing to put up with this.
But when we started to put it together, we realized that one of the parts (the part that makes the backboard area) was about 1" too long. I think they sent the one for the bigger size.
It got sent back to Home Decorators and I'm opting to exchange for the black one. I am hoping the parts are all the correct size the second time around."

"hardware to hang not sufficient to hold it securely to wall. had to go buy new screws and anchors. distance from top hooks to shelf does not allow enough room to hang anything significant other than a scarf or shirt. the hook is VERY close to the shelf. Poor design overall and hardware included is useless"

"I am really enjoying my coat rack. It did not take long to assemble and looks great at the entrance. Now all of our winter coats are in one location instead of wherever they land. This makes it easier when we are trying to leave!"

"Not sure why delivery took so long (it came a full week after the 4-door cabinet) but I got to the task as quickly as I saw it on the doorstep. Materials were complete and the unit itself looks quite nice. Assembly was simple enough with the instructions included; it would have been nice to have a template included so there is no guessing or mis-measuring of where the screws on the back edges would be at on the wall. Hanger pilot holes were missing. Of the 5, the first 2 on the left were bored, the next hanger had only 2 holes bored, the 4th hanger skipped and the 5th hanger only had 2 holes bored. I had enough holes pre-bored to drill my own pilot holes for the 4th hanger. Overall a nice product."

"We ordered two of these for our hallway to the garage. We did not even attempt to assemble and install them, our handyman did and it took him about three hours. The board mounted in the front top for looks, blocked access to the hooks, so he did not install it. The hooks were securely mounted to the board, but he used his own mounting hooks for hanging it on the wall. Now we are quite happy with the hooks and installation."

"It was exactly what I wanted. it arrived in a timely manner, the material quality is very good and assembly for the most part was pretty easy. I had trouble with the screws that mount the coat hooks. Alot more muscle was needed, but all other parts fit together well.

"The coat rack looks great. It is sturdy, well-designed with the parts easily identifiable and it wasn't too difficult to assemble. A couple of things though - the rawl plugs they give you to mount the rack onto the wall weren't quite up to the job - only 2 out of the 4 held in the drywall. Secondly, a drill and / or electric screwdriver definitely help - I pre-drilled all the holes for the hook screws first - I just didn't have the arm-power otherwise. Also, don't tighten the two halves completely until you fit them together - true for most self-assembly jobs.
Very happy with it now though!"

"I am not sure if this product was complicated to me because I am not the one usually doing these kind of jobs around my house but I found it all around complicated. It came unassembled which was totally unexpected, and the assembly itself took me about about an hour. It was also very difficult to hang on the wall and the parts that were provided were cheap. Overall, it looks good and is pretty sturdy just a lot of work to get to the finished product."

The biggest hassle

"When I found this product online, I thought it looked beautiful, and it was exactly what I needed. It has been the biggest hassle putting it together - the pieces were not of very good quality and might not have been the pieces we needed to mount to rack to the wall. The instructions were the worse part of the experience: only pictrures - no detailed instructions!!! How are you supposed to put something together if you are not instructed on how to do it properly!? I am very disapointed. We have spent the last 2 days trying to put this up and we might need to have a professional come and fix everything and put it up - if that's even possible."
