"The pod (we call it the jelly bean) is nice looking and well made with very sturdy wood and other material. Putting it together wasn't a big problem, but would have been better had the half sheet of pictoral instructions been done by a non-engineer type. The major problem was in the packaging. I made the mistake of bringing the box into the house to put together-big mistake! There were only six pieces but were not wrapped in plastic or other material. They were laid in the box amongst odds and ends of styrofoam. I live in a dry climate which is conducive to static electricity, the box of styro and pieces literally exploded when I opened it. This was two weeks ago and we still find little pieces of styro stuck to the floor, stairs and clothes. My advice is to open it outside away from any wind and have ample items to wipe the little styro off of the furniture. BEFORE you take it inside. AS to putting it together, put all of the bolts in one side (six I think) before you start the other side or you will end up taking it all apart. My chief complaint other than the packing and instructions is the top is about 1/4" too high and presents a lip above the edge. For the price, it's a nice buy if you like the design. I feel that it really wasn't designed for a television/entertainment center, maybe a bench. Not sure. In the end, we really like it even if did end up with those persistant house guests (the Styro family)."
