"The cabinet took several hours to assemble, which we anticipated. The workmanship of the pieces was very poor. Even after leveling the cabinet, the drawers would still catch when closing. We have some concerns how the cabinet will hold up when adding the weight of files. Overall, the cabinet is a good value for the amount of storage provided. Not the greatest cabinet in terms of quality, but if you don't abuse it, hopefully it will last."

"This file cabinet is perfect. It took me about 2 hours to assemble because every piece had to be put together, but the directions were easy to follow and it went together smoothly. It was nice to have an extra set of hands to help assemble the frame. Otherwise, it was a one-person job for someone comfortable with RTA furniture. It is MDF with veneer, so no solid wood but it's sturdy with smooth edges and looks good. It takes two people to move because it's so heavy -- that's a good thing in my book. We receive compliments on the piece from everyone who sees it. Got it on sale so it was really a steal. I would buy it again."

Great buy, but beauty is skin deep

"This cabinet looks good from the outside, as all of its exterior is made of rubberwood. But the drawer boxes and all the supporting structure inside are MDF and will not stand hard use. If you're gentle with your furniture it will probably be fine, but don't expect it to last like solid wood furniture would. I'd have been willing to pay more for this product if they had used real wood for the guts!
The assembly was very straightforward, as all of the parts are extremely well-marked."
