"I used this pad underneath runner rugs in the hallways, as between my daughter and cats, I have to re-arrange them numerous times a day. Amazingly, they have worked even after my cat gave it the full blast treatment."

"Something less than 1/16" thick should not be described as a pad. It may prevent skidding, it may protect floors (yet to be determined), but I can see that it will not provide any kind of chushy underfoot experience. This is the down side of online purchases; I couldn't tell by the picture that this under-rug mat would be so thin."

"I just installed bamboo flooring and my rug arrived before the no slip pad. So I experienced the traction before and after. What a huge difference the no slip pad makes. The rug doesn't budge an inch."

"Overall, pleased with the rug pad - it prevents the rug from slipping on a hardwood floor. If you want a pad that provides cushioning, pick another one. I didn't need that feature, Be careful when
unfolding the pad as it is quite thin and might be torn if treated roughly.
I have seen similar rug pads that are somewhat less expensive, but am not sure of their quality. The reputation of HDC standing behind their products influenced me to spend a little more."

"The rug pads I ordered were exactly what I wanted. We recently had hardwood floors put in throughout the house, and are using area rugs in some parts of the house. Since we have 4 dogs, we had a problem with the rugs sliding. The rug pads I purchased from Home Decorators worked perfectly...thin enough to not "show" under the rugs, and yet strong enough to hold them firmly in place. I did not notice any objectionable odor upon opening the packages. There was a slight "plastic" smell, but it dissapated very quickly, and was not annoying. The mats were easy to trim to size, and easy to handle. They can't be beat for the price!"
