"I love to read customer reviews, especially before I purchase an item online. When I read the reviews for the cushion, there were a lot of people claiming the cushion had an odd odor. I'm glad I did not let that stop me from ordering the cushion. It doesn't have a funky odor to me. It actually smells like new carpet, and I like that smell. The quality is excellent and it keeps the carpet in place. It's a winner."

"This rug pad is just the right thickness. The pad gives the rugs a good cushion on top of the wood and tile floors. It really grips--no need to adjust the rug all the time. It will last for years. This rug pad is the same kind of pad used by some of the oriental rug companies in town, only at a more reasonable price. Don't worry about other readers' concerns about a rubber smell - after laying the pad out for a day to flatten out from being in the package, the smell will be gone."

"This rug pad is the second I have purchased. This was for a hand woven Turkish carpet and is exactly what was needed to give a cushion under the carpet as well as to enhance the feel as one walked across it. This was a much better outcome than I anticipated. The guarantee of 15 years was very nice. Since we had to trim it to fit the carpet we were delighted that it was a snap!!"

"Excellent value. Provided nice cushion-ee underfoot feel for the 8' round rug I purchased from Home Decorators. The pad is about 4" undercut all the way round which easily hides the pad under the rug. That feature was really nice. It's an excellent value for money."

"Excellent rug pad. I have an Uzbekistan rug that is great eye candy but needs some plush. This is thick enough to add comfy but not so thick that it lifts up the sides to a trippable height. Chemical smell goes away after two days."

"We bought the Premium cushion rug pad to go under a wool rug to keep the rug in place and also because the tile floor is not smooth. The premium cushion rug pad was easy to unroll and stayed in place when we unrolled the heavy wool rug on top of it. We are pleased that the uneven floor tiles cannot be felt through the rug and pad and we expect this pad will extend the life of our wool rug and be worth what we spent to purchase it."

"I bought this rug pad to go under an area rug which is on a hardwood floor. I already have a rug pad under it, but it is still so thin and flat, with no comfortable cushion to it at all. After putting down this premium cushion, it makes all the difference in the world. The rug now feels so thick and luxurious - I notice it each time I walk on it. Thanks for a great product!"
